I'm only 25 and became a millionaire in less than a year by selling vegan sweets | The Sun

A YOUNG entrepreneur who started a vegan sweets business in her spare bedroom has turned it into a £1million global business.

Laura Scott, 25, started selling the pick and mix-style confectionery in 2018 after spotting a gap in the market.

She would bulk-buy sweets and make selection bags to sell online during lunch breaks at her graphic design job.

The Conscious Candy Company was officially launched in April 2019 and sold out on day one.

By the end of 2020, its turnover passed £1million — and it now operates from a 5,000 sq ft unit with two full-time staff.

Laura, of Plymouth, Devon, said: “When I started, it was just one product and now it’s over 100 with customers all over the world.
