The heartbroken wife of disgraced rugby league player Joe Westerman is seen for the first time since he was caught cheating and reports emerged that she told her friends their marriage is ‘one trillion per cent finished’.

Lauren Westerman, 33, was spotted at the family home in Castlewood today where she is understood to be staying with her and Joe’s three children.

Her relationship with the Castleford Tigers loose forward made headlines after Joe, 34, was  filmed performing a sex act down a dark back alleyway on a woman alleged to be the wife of one of the back rower’s best friends.

He made a grovelling public apology to his family and friends after the graphic video went viral on Twitter, but Lauren says despite his efforts, the athlete ‘knows that there’s no coming back from what he’s done.’

Lauren told her friends ‘there’s no way you can come back after something so horrific’ and reiterated that she is now prioritising her children, The Sun reported.

‘He’s text me a few times to say how sorry he is but he knows that there’s no coming back from what he’s done,’ Lauren reportedly said (sic), adding that Joe has ‘no one to blame but himself.’

She reportedly claimed that Joe has texted her a ‘few times to say how sorry he is’ but knows that his apologies will not save their marriage.

Lauren says she is thinking about her children and believes that staying with the Castleford Tigers loose forward would set a poor example for them.

‘I want them to know that this is not alright, that it isn’t acceptable behaviour in a relationship and that we all have self-worth,’ she claimed.

She reiterated that her marriage to Joe is ‘one trillion per cent finished’ and that she has been left ‘numb’ over the incident.

The pair got married in 2014 and share three children together.
