In an area where a flat on dry land would set you back £5million, the property boasts 1,848 square feet of accommodation with a kitchen, dining and living room on the upper deck, and three bedrooms and two bathrooms on the lower deck.

The master bedroom also comes complete with its own dressing room.

A large terrace complete with plenty of space for garden furniture boasts incredible views of the London skyline

Large bay windows open out onto stunning views of the capital and give the property a light and open feel, making the space feel even larger

The living room is on the upper deck of the boat along with the kitchen and dining area in a open planned space with lots of natural light

The wooden flooring features throughout the property and comes complete with under floor heating to keep warm during the colder winter months

Large windows are a big feature on the boat which helps to show off the amazing views of London and the surrounding Chelsea area

The kitchen is large and spacious and features a dining area for entertaining as well as all the essential utilities needed in a kitchen

In an area where a flat on dry land would set you back £5m, the property boasts 1,848 square feet of accommodation with a kitchen, dining and living room on the upper deck

The spacious living area boasts high ceilings and big windows and leads onto a large terrace and plenty of space for entertaining guests

There are three bedrooms on board the boat, with the master bedroom boasting its very own dressing room

The boat has all the comforts of a typical land-based home including an alarm system, mains electricity, water, sewage and telephone. It also benefits from a night watchman and a CCTV service, as well as an on-site maintenance team.

The mooring and maintenance fees are approximately £26,000 a year.

Built in 2017 by the Chelsea Yacht and Boat Company, the boat has been dubbed Walter Greaves after the artist who was born and lived in Cheyne Walk. He lived at number 104 for 42 years, and his former home is now marked with a blue plaque.

The late artists father was a boat builder and waterman, making his moniker the perfect tribute.

Cheyne Walk has been home to some of London’s most prominent celebrities over the last 300 years, with the street boasting ten blue plaques honouring some famous residents.

The first notable residence was built by Henry VIII, who lived at the Chelsea manor house with several of his six wives.

Over the years, the street has also been home to Prime Minister David Lloyd George, Frankenstein author Bram Stoker, rocker Keith Richards, novelist George Eliot, musician Mick Fleetwood, footballer George Best and writers T.S Eliot and Ian Fleming.

The bedroom still has the small round windows which is a typical design in small boats but retains a larger feel with high ceilings and natural colours

The bathroom features a large bath, a walk in shower and matching sinks as well as mirrors which lean into the nautical theme

The bedrooms are on the lower deck of the boat and feature luxury furnishing, including soft carpets for increased comfort

There is also an area for work and studying on board in a room which is separated from the bedrooms by large glass windows

The second bathroom in the property is tiled with a stylish design and features a large bath and shower, a sink and toilet

The bedroom comes with its own EnSite and leads directly down the corridor to a study area perfect for those who are working from home

A study area is cornered off within the boat by large glass windows to ensure the property retains an open plan feel

The boat has all the comforts of a typical land-based home including an alarm system, mains electricity, water, sewage and telephone. It also benefits from a night watchman and a CCTV service, as well as an on-site maintenance team

The views of the capital are absolutely stunning from the boat, which will set you back a cool £1.5m in an area where a typical flat on land would cost between £3m and £5m

Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger bought a property there in the 1960s with Marianne Faithful, which he went on to sell in the seventies. He recently returned to the area after buying the former home of Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

Nick Austin, from Riverhomes, who are selling the houseboat, said: ‘This is the celebrity area to live.

‘Mick Jagger owns a house behind it [the boat], one of the owners of the Young Vic owns a house there, there’s a former Vogue editor and a dowager countess and Damien Hirst has a houseboat there.

‘It’s still a working boatyard and has been for more than 1,000 years. This is one of very few boats that come up there and it has more than 20 years on the licence, which is very rare.

‘The boat was built in 2017 and has been moored there since. Moorings just don’t come at all in that area, I sold this boat to the current owners several years ago.

‘If you turned that boat into bricks and mortar, you would be looking at £3-5m for the equivalent square footage, so by comparison this is a bargain.

‘It doesn’t have an engine so you can’t go anywhere but it’s unusual quirky living and from the fore deck you have a beautiful view of south west London.’
