Man, 35, faces jail for being in control of pack of dogs that mauled girl, 6, in Carrington | The Sun
A MAN is facing jail after he admitted owning a pack of dogs that mauled a six-year-old girl.
The youngster was rushed to hospital after the horror attack in Carrington, Greater Manchester, last month.
Bernard Valentine today appeared at Minshull Street Crown Court.
The 35-year-old admitted five counts of owning a dog which caused injury whilst dangerously out of control in a public place, MEN reports.
He also pleaded guilty to two other offences of owning a dangerously out of control dog – relating to an attack on another dog – and possession of cannabis.
The court was told the attack on the young girl had been captured on camera in a "distressing" video.

Police were scrambled to an address on Ackers Lane at around 2.40pm on March 26.
Four dogs were seized from the home but Ian McMeekin, defending, said today it was not clear whether five or six dogs were involved.
The girl was left with serious injuries following the bloodbath.
Valentine was remanded into custody to be sentenced on July 14.

It comes after a spate of dog attacks across the UK in recent months.
This year alone, two people have been killed – including four-year-old Alice Stones who was attacked by her family's dog her back garden in Milton Keynes.
Police also today released a picture of a couple they wished to speak to after a seven-year-old boy was mauled by a dog at a pub.
