A MECHANIC has been charged with raping a 12-year-old girl in a seaside car park.
Niall O'Sullivan, 27, was held after the alleged horror attack in Brighton on Sunday afternoon.
He has been charged with the rape of a girl under the age of 13.
O'Sullivan appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday for a hearing.
He was remanded into custody to next appear at Lewes Crown Court on June 6.
Police were scrambled to the car park in Brighton Marina at about 2pm on Sunday.

The 12-year-old girl is receiving support from specially trained officers.
Sussex Police said: "A man has been remanded in custody after he was charged with the rape of a girl under the age of 13 in Brighton.
"Niall O’Sullivan, 27, a motor mechanic from Birmingham, was charged with the rape of a girl under the age of 13.
"Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to report it to Sussex Police online or call 101 and quote reference 749 of 07/05."
