Meghan and Harry ‘reach point of no return as Netflix trailer declares war’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix trailer marks a “declaration of war” on the Royal Family in a “point of no return” in their relationship with The Firm, a royal commentator has claimed.

According to Daniela Elser, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s decision to release the trailer for their bombshell new documentary Harry & Meghan. A Netflix Global Event at the same time as Prince William and Kate Middleton’s tour of America was “too much of a coincidence” and leaves the family in “disaster territory”.

The royal expert reckons it was a ploy to overshadow the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s trip in a bid to take the headlines away from William meeting President Joe Biden and promoting his Earthshot Prize.

Writing in News.au, she added: “In under one minute, Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Netflix – their forces combined – have managed to set off the biggest detonation under Buckingham Palace in 30 years.

“It’s impossible to go past the timing… that the world got its first look at this series right when William and Kate are back on US soil for the first time in eight years seems like just too much of a coincidence.

“The release could have come on any day in recent weeks or months but oh no. It came right as William is gearing up for his moment in the global spotlight.”

Although the trailer, released yesterday (December 1), was only one minute long, it has already sparked several bombshell revelations in a hint that what is to come will shake the Royal Family.

The highly-anticipated documentary trailer saw Harry claim "no one sees what's happening behind closed doors" while another clip shows his wife crying on the phone.

Documentary makers also provided the biggest clue yet that their series will address issues between Kate and Meghan, with footage dramatically cutting to a stern looking Duchess of Cambridge from the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey in 2019.
