Meghan ‘phoned up and abused scared staffer every ten minutes’ on a Friday night

Meghan Markle is said to have consistently "phoned up and abused a staffer every ten minutes" on a Friday night when she was an active member of the Royal Family.

The anonymous staffer claimed that Meghan and Prince Harry called her "for days" after a Friday night when she was out for dinner.

Numerous calls appeared to rattle the unknown staffer, who said that they "could not escape" the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The allegations have been aired in a new book, Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown from Valentine Low, which details the horrible ordeal the staffer is said to have experienced.

Writing in the book, Low recalled the anonymous staffer's experience, writing: "On another occasion, when Meghan felt she had been let down over an issue that was worrying her, she rang repeatedly when the staffer was out for dinner on a Friday night.

"'Every ten minutes, I had to go outside to be screamed at by her and Harry. It was, 'I can’t believe you’ve done this. You’ve let me down. What were you thinking?’ It went on for a couple of hours."

The staffer also added that the calls picked up "the next morning" and continued "for days" after the first call.

The fractious relationship between the Sussexes and their staff appeared to show there was "no lines or boundaries" for the couple.

The staffer added: "You could not escape them. There were no lines or boundaries – it was last thing at night, first thing in the morning."

It was said to have gotten so bad between the couple and members of their senior staff that Miguel Head, the longstanding private secretary to Prince William, had to get involved.

He is said to have stepped in to "keep the peace", according to author Low.
