Dashcam footage shows the moment a car nearly smashes into a child on an e-scooter in the middle of the road after the youngster tried to overtake a delivery van.
Sami Burchell was driving home on Friday when she almost struck a young girl in Bicester, Oxfordshire.
The 30-year-old had been on her way home when she turned a corner as a supermarket delivery van passed her.
The rider, who appeared to be trying to overtake the van on her black e-scooter, suddenly appeared in front of her.
Sami was able to slam on the brakes and narrowly avoided hitting her – but says had she been going just a little bit faster it could have ended very differently.

Posting the footage on Facebook, Sami wrote: ‘Please have a word with your children/teens about riding these scooters!
‘This girl hopped back on the scooter and took off before I could even check my car for damage.
‘Accident waiting to happen when people ride like this! Luckily I wasn’t going fast and could stop, but could have been very different!’
