You’re having a bath! Moment two brazen thieves steal a woman’s tub after she left it outside while renovating her home

  • The bath was taken from the home of Silvia Beirao, 46, in Bromley, south London
  • Miss Beirao has now appealed for any information about the pair on social media

This is the shocking moment two strangers walk onto a woman’s property and take her bath.

The footage, captured in Bromley, South London, shows a man and a woman walk onto the driveway of Silvia Beirao, 46, and leave with her bathtub.

It shows a woman grab the back of the bath while a man hoists the tub at the front before the pair, dressed in hi-vis jackets, carry it away onto the street and back in the direction they came from.

Miss Beirao was left ‘angry and frustrated’ after she discovered the pair had taken the tub, which she had left outside while renovating her property yesterday.

She has now appealed to social media users to help her identify the pair and said they had just ‘helped themselves’ without asking.

Miss Beirao wrote on Facebook: ‘Does anyone recognise these people? I had a bath on my drive and they just helped themselves without asking, it would be good to bring it back.’

Miss Beirao, an engineer, explained she had warned off a separate duo the day before when they had turned up at her front door asking whether the bath was scrap.

Her post received dozens of likes and comments from users who were left shocked by the footage captured by her doorbell camera.

One user said: ‘What a cheek, when I had a big skip full of stuff on my front lawn all the collectors knocked first, it did me a favour as kept giving me skip space back.’

Another added: ‘So rude, unless it is pretty much on the edge of the pavement or has a note on it, they should knock.’

Miss Beirao added: ‘I’m just renovating my bathroom myself and putting the old bits outside, some bits were to take to the dump myself and other bits would be reused.

‘I had people knocking on my door the day before asking if they could take the bath and they left it alone after I said no to them but these two have just taken it.

‘They walked into my private property, grabbed my bath and walked away. I would like to get my bath back.’
