Musk says he is 'doing my best to help the underpopulation crisis'

Is THIS the $4.3 million Texas hideaway where Elon Musk has been shacked up with his Neuralink employee whose twins he secretly fathered? Father-of-nine now says he’s doing his best ‘to help underpopulation crisis’

  • Elon Musk joked about the news that he fathered twins with Shivon Zilis, a top executive at his AI company, on Twitter, which she has been tipped to run
  • Musk wrote that he was trying to ‘help the underpopulation crisis’ and then congratulated big families as he has nine children, including the new twins
  • Musk, 51, and Zilis, 36, had both listed the $4.3 million Austin home she purchased last August as their residence in court documents
  • The home is located about five hours away from Musk’s primary residence in Boca Chica, near his SpaceX’s launch facility
  • The twins were born just weeks before Musk adopted a second baby with Grimes

Elon Musk and his Neuralink employee whose twins he secretly fathered had both listed her $4.3 million Texas home as their place of residence in court documents for their children.

Musk, 51, and Shivon Zilis, 36, a top executive at his AI company, had filed a petition in April to change the twins’ names in order to ‘have their father’s last name and contain their mother’s last name as part of their middle name,’ Insider reported.

In those forms, both Musk and Zilis listed the $4.3 million Austin home she purchased last August as their residence, which is located about five hours away from Musk’s primary residence in Boca Chica, near his SpaceX’s launch facility.

News that the world’s richest man is now a father of nine spurred the Tesla CEO to joke that he is helping the world’s ‘underpopulation crisis.’

On Thursday, the Tesla CEO tweeted: ‘’Doing my best to help the underpopulation crisis. A collapsing birth rate is the biggest danger civilization faces by far.’

‘I hope you have big families and congrats to those who already do,’ he added in a follow up tweet.

He also suggested that his company should invest in smart minivans for people and cargo, a vehicle usually associated with big families.

‘Maybe Tesla should make a highly configurable Robovan for people & cargo,’ Musk tweeted.

The interior has a large game room and office area, a fire place and a chef’s kitchen complete with granite counters and breakfast bar.

The luxury home would be a five-hour drive away from Elon’s more modest Boca Chica home, a $50,000 three-bed, ranch-style property.

Musk’s jokes come more than a week after he shared worried of a mass population decline, claiming the U.S. could mimic Japan’s population plunge of more than 600,000 last year.

‘I’m always banging the baby drum,’ Musk, who has been married and divorced three times, said in a conversation with Tesla Owners Silicon Valley. ”Where do you think people come from?’

‘Some magical f**king people factory? The stork, the baby store?’

Elon Musk joked about the news that he now has nine children by saying he was trying to help the underpopulation crisis, a worry that he has been very vocal about

Musk is expected to deliver the marquee address at the annual Allen & Co.’s Sun Valley Conference, where tech billionaires gather, just days after it was revealed that he fathered twins with one of his top executives tipped to take over Twitter.

The world’s richest man, 51, is slated to give the speech on Saturday at the Idaho stage referred to as the ‘billionaire summer camp,’ where the biggest names in tech and business come together to discuss the future of the industry.

It’s not yet clear what Musk’s speech will entail as the Tesla CEO is set to close on his $44 billion Twitter takeover on October after a judge dismissed a lawsuit seeking to halt the deal.

The takeover, however, has been stirred in renewed controversy after it’s been floated that Zilis would be leading Twitter amid revelations that she had twins with him last November.

Musk and his attorney did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com’s request for comment.

Shivon Zilis, 36, a top executive at Musk’s OpenAI nonprofit and a well-known leader in the tech field, was named as the mother of Musk’s previously unknown twins. Just last year, Zilis posted a nod to Prince Harry’s Silicon Valley startup with a throwback picture of the two of them from 2013 when she was asked to brief him on tech startups

Zilis, left, who was born in Canada, took part in a discussion about machine learning with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at Creative Destruction Lab’s Machine Learning and the Market for Intelligence Conference in 2017.

The ice hockey-loving Yale graduate and AI executive ‘tipped to run Twitter’ after Musk buys it

Court documents have revealed that Elon Musk quietly had twins with  Shivon Zilis, 36, the director of operations at Musk’s brain-machine interface company Neuralink.

Zilis, who was born in Ontario, Canada, met Musk through OpenAI, the artificial-intelligence research-and-deployment nonprofit Musk cofounded in 2015, Insider reported.

Zilis has been a board member at OpenAI since January 2020, according to her LinkedIn profile. She previously worked as an adviser at the company for three years.

She is also a Fellow at the Creative Destruction Lab, a startup focusing on the commercialization of science. She joined the company in 2015.

Zilis studied economics and philosophy at Yale where she also played goalie on the women’s ice-hockey team.

In 2015, Zilis was on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list in the venture-capital category and in 2017, got the chance to use her AI expertise at Tesla.

Just last year, Zilis posted a nod to Prince Harry’s Silicon Valley startup with a throwback picture of the two of them from 2013 when she was asked to brief him on tech startups.

From 2017 to 2019, she was a Project Director at Tesla working on AI projects with a special focus on autopilot and chip design.

Zilis is currently the director of operations and special projects for Neuralink and has been floated as one of the people Musk could tap to run Twitter Inc after his $44 billion deal acquisition.

The company has boasted its success in implanting company chips into monkey brains, claiming the primates were now capable of playing pong, CNN reported.

Since then, the company has had to address concerns about its testing practice as it denied allegations of animal cruelty despite confirming earlier this year that monkey’s have died as part of its testing.

Given her impressive tech resume,  Zilis has been floated as one of the people Musk could tap to run Twitter Inc. after his $44 billion deal acquisition goes through in October.

The most recent hurdle over the deal came in May, when a Twitter shareholder sued Musk and Morgan Stanley, which is advising Musk on the deal.

The shareholder,  the Orlando Police Pension Fund, claimed Musk and Morgan Stanley secretly plotted the details of the deal before it became public, and also claimed Twitter’s board breached ‘its fiduciary duty’ when they accepted Musk’s deal.

A judge in Delaware’s Chancery Court dismissed the lawsuit with prejudice, meaning the shareholders can never sue with the same claims again.

Musk has said he plans to grow Twitter by one billion users under his helm, but he has yet to official name the person who would be put in charge of the social media giant.

It is currently unclear what his relationship is with Zilis, but the two appeared to be in amicable terms in 2020.

At the time, Zilis posted a tweet defending Musk on his decision to move Tesla out of California over COVID-19 restrictions.

California State Assembly member, Lorena Gonzalez Fletcher, had tweeted ‘F**k Elon Musk.’

Zilis responded: ‘This makes me sad. No one’s perfect but I’ve never met anyone who goes through more personal pain to fight for an inspiring future for humanity – and has done so tirelessly for decades. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion but mine is that there’s no one I respect and admire more.’

The news of the twins’ arrival brings Musk’s total count of children to nine. Musk shares two children with Canadian singer Grimes, and other five kids with his ex-wife Canadian author Justine Wilson.

It’s the latest in Musk’s complicated personal life that includes three marriages and three divorces, including two of each with the same woman, and seven children from two long-term romances.

Musk and Grimes welcomed their second child Exa Dark Sideræl, who goes by Y, via surrogate in December. The billionaire said that he and Grimes were ‘semi-separated,’ according to a report by Page Six in September last year. They have another child named X Æ A-Xii.

In April, one of Musk’s children with first wife Justine Wilson filed court documents seeking to legally change from male to female and lose their last name, stating: ‘I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form.’

Xavier Musk, 18, filed the paperwork in Santa Monica, California, on April 18, seeking to be known as Vivian Jenna Wilson, taking the maiden name of her mother Justine Wilson, who was married to Musk from 2000 to 2008 and shares 18-year-old twins Xavier and Griffin and 16-year-old triplets Damian, Kai and Saxon.

The transgender teenager explained that they wish to take their mother’s last name to distance them from their dad but they have not commented on whether they receive financial support from their dad – whose $213 billion dollar fortune makes him the world’s richest man.

Musk has been vocal on various transgender issues and last year he complained about people using their own pronouns. He also said he was a fan of Florida governor Ron DeSantis who has been condemned by the LGBTQ community for his bill preventing discussion of gender identity and homosexuality in classrooms for children in kindergarten through third grade.

Elon and Justine Wilson, now 50, met while they were both attending Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada, and they tied the knot in 2000. The pair share five children but lost their firstborn, Nevada, in 2002 at just ten weeks old to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

Following his split from Justine, Elon began dating British star Talulah Riley, who is most known for her roles in Pride & Prejudice, St. Trinian’s, Fritton’s Gold, The Boat That Rocked, Inception, Westworld, and Bloodshot.

Talulah first tied the knot with the Tesla architect in 2010. However, their first marriage ended in 2012, when she reportedly walked away with $16 million as part of a divorce settlement.

By the following summer, they had remarried. But then, in December 2014, she filed for divorce a second time, only to withdraw her lawsuit the following year.

In March 2016, Talulah requested a divorce a third time, and the pair split for good; the couple did not have any children together.

Elon then dated actress Amber Heard, 35, for several months in late 2016 and early 2017, after he reportedly pursued her for many years.

Amber’s ex-husband Johnny Depp later accused Amber of cheating on him with Elon while they were still married, but both of Elon and Amber denied the affair. They are pictured in 2017

Amber’s ex-husband Johnny later accused Amber of cheating on him with Elon while they were still married, but both of Elon and Amber denied the affair.

They split in the summer of 2017, and afterwards, he told Rolling Stone in November 2017 that he was ‘really in love’ with Amber and that their breakup ‘hurt bad.’

Elon and Grimes began dating in April 2018, a month before they made their red carpet debut at the Met Gala.

A source told Page Six at the time that they met online ‘through a joke about artificial intelligence that Musk had planned to tweet, but discovered Grimes had already made.’

Rumors started to swirl that they had split by that fall, after the pair unfollowed each other on Twitter, however, Grimes insisted that they were still together during a March 2019 interview with Wall Street Journal.

In January 2020, she announced that she was pregnant with their first child via Instagram. They then welcomed their son, whom they call X, in May of the same year

Then, in January 2020, she announced that she was pregnant with their first child via Instagram, when she shared a pic of her baby bump, with no caption. They then welcomed their son in May of the same year.

After his birth, the couple was forced to change the spelling of their son’s name in order to comply with California law, which prohibits the use of any numbers of symbols in a name.

Instead of X Æ A-12, they revealed just a few weeks after the baby was born that his birth certificate would be registered under the name X AE A-Xii – using the Roman numeral version of the number ’12’ and changing the character æ to AE.

They welcomed their second child Exa Dark Sideræl, who goes by Y, in December.

After losing Nevada, Musk and Wilson – who were married between 2000 and 2008 – turned to IVF to grow their family.

Wilson gave birth to twin sons Griffin and Xavier Musk in April 2004.

In April, Xavier filed court documents seeking to legally change from male to female and lose their last name, stating: ‘I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form.’

Musk started dating singer Grimes in May 2018 and she gave birth to their son X AE A-Xii, in May 2020.

Their son was originally named X Æ A-12, but ‘Æ’ and ’12’ violated California law, which prohibits the use of any numbers of symbols in a name. The couple then changed the spelling of their son’s name.

Instead of X Æ A-12, they revealed just a few weeks after the baby was born that his birth certificate would be registered under the name X AE A-Xii – using the Roman numeral version of the number ’12’ and changing the character æ to AE.

The couple then broke up in September 2021.

Grimes and Musk later welcomed their first daughter, Exa Dark Sideræl Musk, via surrogate in December 2021.

Grimes referred to Musk as her ‘boyfriend’ in a Vanity Fair interview, but after the interview was published, she took to Twitter to reveal that they had since broken up.

‘Me and E have broken up *again* since the writing of this article,’ she wrote on March 10. ‘But he’s my best friend and the love of my life.’

New set of twins, names unknown

It has emerged that Musk quietly had twins with one of his top executives weeks before he welcomed a child with Grimes via surrogate.

In November, the Tesla CEO, 51, reportedly had twins with Shivon Zilis, 36, the director of operations at Musk’s brain-machine interface company Neuralink, Insider reported. He now has nine known children.

Musk and Zilis filed a petition in April to change the twins’ names in order to ‘have their father’s last name and contain their mother’s last name as part of their middle name,’ according to the court documents.

The twins were born in November, just weeks before Musk and Claire Boucher, the musician who performs as Grimes, had their second child via surrogate in December.
