My neighbour is DESTROYING my garden after planting vines on our shared fence for privacy – they’re killing my trees | The Sun

A WOMAN was left fuming after her neighbour's out-of-control vines started taking over her garden and killing her trees.

The woman said she had been "battling" the vines poking through their shared fence for a while – and finally figured out where they were coming from.

She believes her neighbour planted the vines for privacy before they got out of control.

The Reddit user said: "Have been battling these kind of vines for a while, and finally found the source.

"Seems the neighbour had planted them for privacy but they have been killing our trees and growing throughout our lawn and our and another neighbours fence.

"How to handle on our end?"

The woman said she was desperately trying to keep the vines out of the trees and catch them coming through the fence before they take over.

She said: "The ones that are coming through the grass are a bit harder.

"The person who owned this yard just before us did not do much weed or vine upkeep."

The woman, from Houston in the US, added: "My neighbour's yard has so many vines and weeds, it's quite annoying.

"Or at least I want to have control to keep it out of my yard."

People were quick to help her out – with some describing the vines as "evil" after experiencing the same problem.

Others suggested she could take matters into her own hands.

One said: "Sound like you want to wait for your neighbour's to go on vacation and stick your arm over the fence with the little roundup wand."

Another neighbour row broke out after a woman liked her neighbour's overhanging Willow tree so much that she decided to take some cuttings and plant her own.
