A plane crashed into the sea off the south coast of Wales prompting emergency services to descend upon the scene.
A man was helped by paramedics at the scene before being rushed to hospital after the aircraft crash-landed upside down close to the shore at Porthcawl, about 20 miles from Swansea.
The Coastguard was notified of the incident at around 9.20am this morning (Tuesday, June 13) and sent lifeboats from Porthcawl and Port Talbot to the scene.

A helicopter from St Athan was also deployed and emergency services from South Wales Police and the Welsh Ambulance Service also attended the scene, WalesOnline reported.
A spokesperson for the coastguard said: "HM Coastguard coordinated the response to a light aircraft going into the sea today (Tuesday, June 13) at Porthcawl, south Wales.
"The alarm was raised at about 9.20am, with a person making their way out of the plane and onto dry land. RNLI lifeboats from Porthcawl and Port Talbot were sent.
"The Coastguard search and rescue helicopter from St Athan was also alerted, as well as South Wales Police and the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service. The man from the plane was taken into the care of the Welsh Ambulance Service."

Witnesses described seeing the plane crash "on the shore near Porthcawl Pavilion" and took to social media to share images of the incident.
Local James Brown posted: "I watched it coming low over the common and then the engine started spluttering."
Another resident living near the incident, Margaret Kendrick, told the BBC she peered out her window and saw the upside-down plane.
"He was very lucky where it landed, I walked out of my house and saw a red shape," she said.
"Somebody not far away saw it coming down, all of a sudden the plane was quiet and the engine went off."
Aviation officials believe the aircraft, registered as G-MWNF, is a single-engine white Renegade Spirit single-seat microlight weighing just 390kgs.
A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: "We were called today shortly before 9:30am to reports of an incident near the Seabank Hotel in Porthcawl.
"We sent one emergency ambulance and a duty operational manager to the scene, where we were supported by our Hazardous Area Response Team and the Coastguard.
"One person was taken to Princess of Wales Hospital for further treatment."
