Police launch manhunt for two men after £100,000 worth of jewellery was stolen from a car outside antiques event

Jewellery worth £100,000 and £4000 of cash was stolen from a car outside an antiques event in Essex.

Police were called to the Brentwood Leisure Centre on Sunday, October 23, to reports of a theft from a vehicle.

The victim had attended an antiques event at the centre before their car was broken into and suspects stole a red and black bag containing the valuable jewellery.

The two suspects walked from the leisure centre towards a nearby car wash on Doddinghurst Road.

Police are investigating the theft and are appealing for the public’s help to identify  two men, who they believe can assist with their enquiries.

The theft occurred outside of Brentwood Centre Antiques & Collectors Fair on October 23

One of the items taken from the bag was a necklace with a portrait of a woman

Police have released images of the jewellery that was stolen from the car last month 

The force also released images of the jewellery, which features a diamond ring in a case, a necklace with a portrait of a woman, two bee broaches and another ring with a blue gem.

A spokesperson for Essex Police said: ‘If you know who they are or have any further information which could assist, please contact us.

‘We are also releasing images of the stolen jewellery and encouraging anyone who may recognise it to contact us.

‘You can let us know by submitting a report on our website or by using our online Live Chat service available Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) between 10am-9pm.’
