Relentless eco-zealots block traffic again as Just Stop Oil continue long-running campaign of slow marching

Relentless Just Stop Oil protesters are out blocking traffic yet again in London as they continue their slow marching campaign. 

The climate demonstrators are out disrupting commuters in various locations across the capital this morning including near Waterloo station, Fleet Street, Millbank and Islington. 

Photographs show the eco-zealots holding banners with slogans such as ‘we have reached the tipping point’ – as cars and lorries get stuck behind them. 

Met Police tweeted this morning: ‘Police arrived at first Just Stop Oil #protesters walking slowly in the road nr Waterloo Station at 08:05hrs, Friday 23 June. 

‘A condition was immediately imposed as the protest was causing serious disruption to traffic. #Protesters moved out of the road at 08.07hrs.’

The force then said: ‘Police arrived to Just to Stop Oil #protesters walking slowly in #FleetStreet at 08:06hrs, three mins after notification, and imposed a condition on arrival as protest was causing serious disruption to traffic. 

‘Protesters complied and moved off the road at 08.12hrs.’

They also had to attend another location, saying: ‘Police were on scene at 08.08hrs, #Millbank to Just to Stop Oil #protesters walking slowly in the road, causing more than minor disruption to traffic.

‘Officers imposed a condition to move off the carriageway at 08.24hrs, and the road was cleared a minute later.’

Yesterday Just Stop Oil protesters were drenched in water by a furious Londoner on a balcony during yet another traffic-halting protest.

The eco-zealots were seen walking in the middle of a busy road in the north of the capital during rush hour on Thursday morning.

Footage showed them dawdling along with signs as frustrated vans and buses honked their horns behind them in Camden. 

The protesters were then sprayed with water from an upstairs balcony, after which the camera tilts to the homeowner who is seen shouting and pointing at the activists below. 

Meanwhile the protesters tried to look unfazed as they held signs adorned with messages such as ‘for my family’ and ‘I won’t die quietly’. 

The campaign group wants an end to new fossil fuel projects, yet have so far failed to target any of the countries who are the worst environmental offenders. 

But Just Stop Oil said it is going to be carrying out the same tactics until the Government and multi-national corporations cave in to their demands.
