A Russian soldier explained finding out the news from his unit that 200 Russian men had died in Ukraine, including a contractor. His son reported that television broadcasts in Russia had been limited to how successful the Russian army have been during the invasion rather than the losses. The Russian soldier claimed that there was ongoing speculation that 80,000 Russian troops had already died as he raged at the skewed reports about the true state of troops engaged in Ukraine.

The Russian soldier told his son: “Yesterday, I called my unit… They received 200 (dead)… A lad has died.”

His son said: “Also a contractor?”

The Russian soldier added: “The only contractor here who died.”

His son added: “And on the TV they say: ‘Everything is f*cking great, f*cking great, we’re smashing this, smashing that. F**k, it p****s me off, don’t even want to turn on the news.”

The Russian serviceman said: “People stopped turning them on?”

His son added: “There we took down two BMPs, four BMPs2, two tanks, three tanks and 300 UAF mercenaries.

“F**k! Tell us how many of our guys died in a day, for f**k sake, say it.”

The Russian soldier said: “They say, we have rumours, 80,000 already died.”

His son added: “Very possible, very possible, well at least the mobilisation has stopped now, not calling up now.”

The Russian soldier said: “Just temporarily for the Winter.”

The son replied: “Yes, yes, they’re most likely doing conscription, calling up youngsters, soldiers.”

The Russian soldier said: “The youngsters are the same, many won’t go, only those who have no motherland and no mother. They might sign the contract, but that’s 2 per cent of the total.”

Vladimir Putin has been trying to bolster his armed forces in Ukraine, by adding 300,000 more men to his army.

Mr Prystaiko added: “So, these people they’re coming to Ukrainian frontlines. And we have a couple of hundred of them already, it’s not thousands yet, but hundreds.

“Some of them were to get to Ukrainian captivity, they would call the special hotlines which we established to tell people you still can survive.

“Just call this number, and you will be with us where you will be returned, don’t get into the crimes don’t kill anybody you will be ok, you will be safe.”

Russia’s 155th Guards Naval Infantry Brigade has already reported the loss of up to 300 men.

“As a result, we and the Kamchatka Marines are advancing on Pavlivka. As a result of a ‘carefully’ planned offensive by the ‘great commanders’, we lost about 300 people killed, wounded, and missing in 4 days.

“50 per cent of the equipment. This is just our team.”

“They don’t care about anything other than showing off. They call people meat.”
