THE full details of the Queen’s dignified final journey from Balmoral to London have been revealed.
Her Majesty will be brought back to the capital where she will be laid to rest at a funeral on Monday, September 19.
SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 11
The Queen is currently in the Ballroom of her royal retreat in Balmoral, in an oak coffin with the Royal Standard atop.
She will be moved tomorrow and taken to Holyroodhouse at 10am.
Six estate gamekeepers will carry her coffin to the hearse.
They will drive slowly to Edinburgh via Aberdeen before being welcomed by a guard of honour at 4pm.
MONDAY SEPTEMBER 12
The Queen will remain in Edinburgh until Midday on Monday.
She will be joined by King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla who will travel with the coffin from Holyrood to St Giles Cathedral.
Here, the crown of Scotland will be placed into her coffin, and she will remain in the cathedral for 24 hours so Scottish fans can pay her final respects.

TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 13
On Tuesday, at 5pm the coffin will be brought to Edinburgh airport.
Princess Anne will accompany the Queen, and they will depart at 6pm.
The plane will land at RAF Northolt at 6.45pm where a bearer party will be waiting to carry the coffin to a state hearse.
It will drive to Buckingham Palace via the Grand Entrance before being carried to the main ballroom.
MONDAY SEPTEMBER 19
On Monday, September 19, The Queen's funeral will take place.
The funeral is expected to take place at Westminster Abbey in central London.
The plans are for the Queen's coffin to process on a gun carriage to the abbey, pulled by naval ratings – sailors – using ropes rather than horses.
Senior members of the family are expected to follow behind – just like they did for the funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales and the Duke of Edinburgh.
The military will line the streets and also join the procession.
Heads of state, prime ministers and presidents, European royals and key figures from public life will be invited to gather in the abbey, which can hold a congregation of 2,000.
The service will be televised, and a national two minutes' silence is expected to be held.
The same day as the funeral, the Queen's coffin will be taken to St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle for a televised committal service.
Later in the evening, there will be a private interment service with senior members of the royal family.

The Queen's final resting place will be the King George VI memorial chapel, an annex to the main chapel – where her mother and father were buried, along with the ashes of her sister, Princess Margaret.
