STEVE HILTON: We may have 'smoking gun' evidence of Biden's corruption
STEVE HILTON: We may finally have ‘smoking gun’ evidence of Joe Biden’s corrupt (and probably criminal) family enterprise, but STILL the White House denies it and the mainstream media can’t be bothered to ask
Steve Hilton served as director of strategy for the British Prime Minister David Cameron and hosts the podcast California Rebel Base.
We’re all familiar with the term ‘smoking gun’.
It evokes an image in our minds of a killer standing at a crime scene with a warm weapon in his shaking hand.
Mystery solved — that’s our murderer.
It’s not often that these cinematic moments play out in real-life.
When they do, they’re hard to ignore.
Of course, that is, unless you work among the professional journalists in the White House press corp.
Last week, DailyMail.com published the recording of a voicemail message from Joe Biden to Hunter Biden from December 12, 2018.
In it, Joe attempts to reassure his son that an article that had just been published by the New York Times about Hunter ‘was good’ and that he was ‘clear’.
The reporting touched on Hunter’s business relationship with a notorious Chinese criminal, Ye Jianming.
Ye ran the Chinese state-owned oil giant, CEFC and had suspected ties to Beijing’s intelligence agency, until he was exposed as a fraud and disappeared.

Ye (left) ran the Chinese state-owned oil giant, CEFC and had suspected ties to Beijing’s intelligence agency, until he was exposed as a fraud and disappeared. Hunter’s relationship with Ye was so close that when Ye’s top lieutenant (right) was arrested by U.S. authorities – his first call was to James Biden, Joe’s brother.
The article portrays Ye as an unscrupulous huckster, who trawled the world making connections with powerful people to advance his business interests.
Some of those contacted by Ye’s associates rebuffed them, but Hunter Biden did not.
In fact, Hunter’s relationship with Ye was so close that when Ye’s top lieutenant was arrested by U.S. authorities – his first call was to James Biden, Joe’s brother.
According to James, he thought the call was meant for Hunter.
Hunter and his dad were concerned over the article’s potential fallout.
‘Hey pal, it’s Dad. It’s 8:15 on Wednesday night,’ Joe is heard saying in the voicemail recording, ‘If you get a chance just give me a call. Nothing urgent. I just wanted to talk to you.’
‘I thought the article released online, it’s going to be printed tomorrow in the Times, was good. I think you’re clear. And anyway, if you get a chance give me a call, I love you.’
It is obvious from Joe’s message that he and Hunter had previously discussed the article.
And yet months after leaving that voicemail and after Joe launched his presidential campaign, he categorically denied talking to Hunter about his business dealings: ‘I have never discussed my son’s business dealings with him,’ he told Peter Doocy of Fox News.
Really?
What an insult to the intelligence of every American.
Here’s the ‘smoking gun’.
Of course, Biden discussed his son’s business dealings with him.
Why else would he have left that message?
Denying it – as beleaguered White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre again attempted to do this week – is not just ‘spin’, or the usual back and forth between press and politician.
It’s a lie.
Worse, it’s a lie in service of that dreaded graveyard of Washington careers: a cover-up.
The White House press corp must have pounced – right?
Wrong.
It’s not just Hunter: other members of Joe Biden’s family, including his brothers James (right) and Frank (not pictured), have found ways to cash in on Joe’s years in politics – from lucrative contracts linked to America’s military presence in Iraq to telecoms contracts in the Caribbean.
Biden and his allies – in the White House, in Congress, and most disturbingly, in the media, are trying to cover up a years-long, brazen and systematic record of corruption involving the president and his family.
As vice president, Joe Biden was put in charge of Ukraine policy.
As night follows day, Hunter, a failure in every previous job he had held, was hired by shady lobbyists to push the interests of a Ukrainian energy company.
Joe was sent to China by President Obama to negotiate with the Communist regime.
So of course, Hunter tagged along – to negotiate lucrative side deals.
On and on it goes, scandal after scandal, well documented and verifiable through company disclosures.
And it’s not just Hunter: other members of Joe Biden’s family, including his brothers James and Frank, have found ways to cash in on Joe’s years in politics – from lucrative contracts linked to America’s military presence in Iraq to telecoms contracts in the Caribbean.
All of it has one thing in common: the Biden family members had zero qualifications for these various enrichment schemes other than proximity to their famous and well-connected relative.
Joe wants us to think he’s completely disconnected from these influence-peddling operations: that by refusing to publicly condemn Hunter’s seemingly endless efforts to cash in on his name and position, Biden is just a loving father looking out for his wayward son.
But Joe is not some passive victim of his sleazy son’s shady schemes, he’s a direct beneficiary of a corrupt, and probably criminal, family enterprise.
We know that’s how it works because Hunter told us – or more precisely, he told his daughter Naomi in a 2019 text in which he said ‘Don’t worry, unlike Pop [his father Joe], I won’t make you give me half your salary.’
Note the ‘make you.’
It shows clearly that Joe has been cashing in on his public service for private financial gain and is in fact the head of the Biden family corruption racket.
And there is even more evidence – too much to list in full here.
The photograph of Joe Biden playing golf with Hunter and his business partners.
The record of a White House meeting between Joe Biden, when he was vice president, and Hunter’s business partners.
The testimony of one of Hunter’s business partners, Tony Bobulinksi, that he discussed their business arrangements directly with Joe in Los Angeles in May 2017.
And yet still the president denies he ever discussed his son’s business dealings.
Does he think we’re all fools? That if he keeps denying it, the story will just go away?
More likely, he knows that the craven media establishment, for all their endless, sanctimonious lectures about ‘democracy dying in darkness’ will do everything in their power to keep the public in the dark about Biden’s corruption.
Partly, that’s because the media – especially the White House press corps – have become full-on propagandists for this administration.
But it’s also for a more insidious reason: that they probably think there’s nothing particularly wrong with the Biden’s corruption; it’s just how Washington works.
Of course, politicians sell access to lobbyists and big business in exchange for financial and other favors.
Of course, they use family members to try and make the corruption less obvious.
That’s just the Swamp!
It’s not a real scandal – not like January 6th.
We can all agree that the Capitol riot on January 6th was utterly disgraceful and should be thoroughly investigated.
But isn’t it a little odd that while the media devotes non-stop coverage to that attempt to ‘subvert our democracy,’ they express no interest whatsoever in uncovering the truth behind a sitting president’s past business dealings with a hostile foreign power – America’s number one enemy, China, the recent beneficiary of President Biden’s policy decisions?
For too long, we have turned a blind eye to the sickening, shameless corruption in Washington, of which Joe Biden and his feckless family are such grotesque examples.
Now thanks to DailyMail.com we can all hear Joe Biden, in his own words, confirmed as a liar when it comes to his family’s corrupt business affairs.
Let’s hope that if Republicans take control of one or more chambers of Congress this November, they will use the full force of their investigative power to expose the full and sordid truth.
