Suella Braverman hits out at Labour MP who begged to keep criminal in Britain before he slashed man to death | The Sun

HOME Secretary Suella Braverman today slammed efforts by a Labour MP to keep foreign criminals in Britain as a "shameful stain on the party".

Corbyn-loving socialist Zarah Sultana was among a group of Labour luvvies who successfully campaigned to stop 23 dangerous lags being deported to Jamaica in December 2020.

Among the bunch of criminals was Ernesto Elliot, who last month slashed a man to death in broad daylight.

His victim, Nathaniel Eyewu-Ago, 35, collapsed after being stabbed through the heart and died in hospital six days.

Ms Sultana today raged against Home Office plans to ban illegal migrants who arrive in Britain in by boat from ever claiming asylum.

She said: "The Home Secretary whips up fear about an invasion on the South Coast and announces this purge to cut up our commitment to the UN Refugee Convention.

"She demonises people who come here by boat while refusing to create new safe legal routes for refugees.

"We need a compassionate approach, not this callous and cruel policy."

Ms Braverman hit back: “I refuse to take lectures from an MP who wrote a letter to the Home Office to ensure that the removal of a foreign national offender, convicted of serious and heinous crimes, was not deported from this country.

"That person then went on to murder.

"A shameful stain on the Labour Party."
