The MOST cringe-worthy Ryan Giggs love poems

The Manchester United Bard: From ‘rock hard totem poles’ to ‘jam-filled doughnuts’ – the cringe-inducing WhatsApps and love poems sent by Ryan Giggs and Kate Greville during rocky relationship…and read out at court in front of the ex-footballer’s own MUM

  • Ryan Giggs wrote love poetry for his ex-girlfriend which referred to his manhood as his ‘totem pole’
  • Kate Greville sent an X-rated text saying she was thinking ‘how to make that c**k of yours raise’
  • She also referred to the former Wales manager as ‘Giggsy-baby’, while Giggs called his ex ‘baby cakes’

Ryan Giggs’ bombshell domestic violence case trial was nothing short of lurid and salacious.

Manchester Crown Court heard that the former Manchester United star, 48, cheated on his ex-girlfriend Kate Greville, 38, with up to 12 women – while at the same time professing his love and desire to start a family with her over the course of their rocky love affair.

And divorced father-of-two Giggs even admitted he had never been faithful to a woman in his life and agreed he was a liar and a cheat – and jealous ‘on occasions’.

But the jury of seven women and five men also had to sit through an oration of toe-curling love poetry and sometimes X-rated texts that the pair sent each other, including ‘You are the jam in my doughnut, the truffle in my pasta and the salt in my tequila’ and ‘You make me as hard as a totem pole’ – messages read out in court in the presence of Giggs’s 66-year-old mother Lynne.

In the rhyming poem, Giggs claimed he fell in love with Miss Greville, who he started an affair with while married to ex-wife, Stacey, 44, ‘at first sight’. He wrote that her ‘beautiful eyes’ made him ‘shiver’ and that ‘pulling’ her was his ‘greatest ever coo’ (sic).

Giggs says that pictures the PR executive sent him of her stomach made him feel ‘funny down there,’ before signing off the poem: ‘You are my love, my friend, my soul… Which makes me feel as hard as a totem pole.’

It was sent in response to another poem sent by Miss Greville, in which she wrote: ‘You make my heart flutter because you are a nutter. Every day you do me proud not just because you are well endowed.’

In other WhatsApp messages, Miss Greville referred to the former Wales manager as ‘Giggsy-baby’, while Giggs called his ex ‘baby cakes’. He also gushed that he loved her more than ‘all my Premier League appearances which is a lot’ – more than 1,000, the court was told.

And in one loved-up message, Miss Greville talked about the couple getting old together and ‘still laughing’ when they were 60 and 70-years-old – while Giggs said the ‘best place in the world’ was not ‘in Bali or the Caribbean’ or ‘playing golf with my mates’ but in bed with Miss Greville snuggled in the ‘little crevice under my chin… legs interlinked.’

So here are some of the cringe-inducing messages that Giggs and Miss Greville sent each other during their six-year relationship.

‘My darling Kate,

‘Those beautiful eyes made me shiver,

‘I’m not going to lie I think of you, I dream of you,

‘Can’t help thinking pulling you was my greatest ever coup,

‘That stomach, those abs,

‘Those pictures you send so I can keep tabs,

‘You make me feel funny down there,

‘Especially when you’re there, and you look up and stare,

‘I am beginning to think you are always right,

‘That’s ok, it will keep us tight,

‘I’m gonna end by saying you are my love, my friend, my soul,

‘And most of all you believe in me which makes me as hard as a totem pole.’

Miss Greville wrote explicit poems to Giggs, including one in which she wrote: ‘I’m thinking of all the ways I’m going to make that gorgeous c**k of yours raise’
