Threat of Putin pushing nuke button is ‘real’ warns Biden in chilling prediction

US president Joe Biden has made a stark prediction for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, claiming that the threat of Mad Vlad using nukes is “real".

He reportedly told a group of wealthy donors in California that he has deep-seated fears over what Putin might do, the Kyiv Independent reports.

"When I was out here about two years ago saying I worried about the Colorado River drying up, everybody looked at me like I was crazy.

"They looked at me like when I said I worry about Putin using tactical nuclear weapons. It's real,” he said.

The prediction comes just days after Putin announced at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum that its first nuclear weapons had arrived on the lands of its ally Belarus, which borders both Russia and Ukraine.

Mad Vlad told nervous guests at the forum: “I have already said that the use of extreme measures is possible in case there is a danger to Russian statehood."

Days before this announcement, Belarus’ dictatorial leader Alexander Lukashenko claimed that the bombs his country were holding on behalf of Russia were "three times more powerful than those in Hiroshima and Nagasaki."

The transfer of the tactical nukes is expected to be completed by the end of the summer.

While the US president appeared to be worried about the threat of nuclear war, his security services seemed to have much more of a stiff upper-lip about the situation.

The US Department of Defence previously said that it saw no reason to change its own nuclear policy, as it does not believe that Putin would use the Belarus nukes, and is simply posturing to gain a better position.

But this prediction hasn’t satisfied Ukraine, with its ambassador to the UK saying that the world needs to take Russia’s threat "very seriously."
