A young girl was airlifted to hospital after a vicious mauling by a dog in her home.

The unnamed toddler was savagely attacked near Broomfield Road, Faversham around 2pm today.

She has been rushed to a London hospital, where doctors are treating multiple injuries.

The infant’s wounds are not thought to be life-threatening, police said.

Faversham, Kent, pictured in late 2021, is a picturesque London suburb in the south-east

No arrests have been made in connection with the mauling, they added.

It comes just weeks after a mother and her seven-year-old daughter were attacked by a German Shepherd while out shopping in Coventry.

Vicky Rafferty, 35, and her daughter Evie-Louise Mannion, seven, were at Gallagher Retail Park, Coventry, when the dog mauled them on June 6.

Vicky said the German Shepherd attacked her daughter for no apparent reason while they were walking.

The innocent mother tried to pull the dog away from her defenceless daughter as she screamed in agony but ended up being attacked too.
