Former President Donald Trump gave his height as 6 feet 2 inches when he was arrested in Manhattan Tuesday, a slightly diminished stature from the data point when he left the White House.
Trump provided the information to the authorities when he was booked and arraigned in New York, in a historic step that prompted Trump to unload on an array of investigators, although he later thanked police and officers who provided security during his visit.
He said he weighed 240 pounds.
The figure Trump gave, reported by Mediaite, is an inch below what White House physician Dr. Sean Conley reported in 2020, following a physical where he said Trump was 244 pounds.

That result prompted online speculation by ‘girthers’ that Trump’s height was deliberately being goosed in order to keep him just above a technical boundary for obesity.
A 6 foot 3 person who weighs 239 has a body mass index of 29.9 — which lies just below the 30.0 technical obesity descriptor.
Trump’s New York Driver’s license also lists him as 6 foot 2 inches, Politico reported in 2016. That was the same year Trump famously read from a letter on the Dr. Oz Show by his gastroenterologist Dr. Harold Bornstein that also put him at 6 foot 3.

Height may have been on Trump’s mind later Tuesday when he gave a shout out to his son Barron, who wasn’t at Mar-a-Lago for Trump’s speech. Neither was former first lady Melania Trump.
Trump brought up Barron, 17, after praising the ‘great job’ his adult sons Don Jr. and Eric were doing, while both of them were present in the room.
‘And Barron will be great some day. He’s tall and he’s smart,’ said Trump of his 6 foot 7 son with Melania.
Trump’s supporters and political operation were willing to give an inch or two.
A fake mug shot that Trump’s campaign promoted as a fundraiser on a T-shirt that said ‘NOT GUILTY’ showed Trump measuring 6 foot 5 – which would be three inches above what he provided as his height.
