UK town where you can buy a house for £12k and glass is cemented into brickwork

A UK town has been credited for being "ridiculously cheap", with houses available for £12,000 and littered with fancy cars.
Burnley has shown its hidden value with properties available for just over £10,000, with cheap houses present and lovely people living in the ones already snapped up from the market.
With a population of 73,000, the Lancashire burrow has since been explored by a YouTuber who claims the place is an ideal part of the country with cheap housing available.

Searching through a few abandoned properties littered with Heineken bottles, a video creator known as Wandering Turnip showcased the city and all its hidden values.
Passing one property built like "a fortress", the YouTuber was clearly shocked to see shards of broken glass cemented into brickwork, presumably as a way of keeping uninvited guests out.
Those "big chunks of glass" which were "glued" to the tops of walls appeared to be quite the defence for one Burnley street.
But Wandering Turnip soon pointed out the "ludicrous" house pricing should the estate have been in a better-known area like London.
He said: "Imagine picking up this little estate here and popping it in London, seeing how ludicrous the house prices turned into.

"These houses are going for twenty-five grand, thirty grand, twelve grand if that can be true."
He went on to credit the city for having some well-needed transport links and showcased several streets potential buyers could move to.
Noting the close proximity of Manchester which is just "a direct train" away, it would appear the Burnley properties were not only good value for money but an ideal place to breathe "new life" into.
"There's loads of houses, that's for sure," Wandering Turnip noted as he wandered past plenty of emptied properties seemingly desperate for some fresh faces in the area.
Plenty of for sale signs were spotted on his walk around the city too, with boarded up homes listed on Rightmove and ready to go for those wanting to invest in the area and their futures in Burnley.
Some heavy lifting may be needed to renovate the properties but the "ridiculously cheap" city appears to be in trouble because of landlords, Wandering Turnip claimed.
He wrote: "The video speaks for itself but I would just like to say that it is clear that it is landlords that have caused a lot of these issues. Landlords who do not care about the houses, don't care who is in them and ultimately don't care about Burnley.
"Everyone I met was lovely, the town is in a great location and the transport links are good. If these houses belonged to the people, the streets would take care of themselves."
