UK ‘Walking Dead’ city overrun by ‘zombie’ addicts hooked to deadly drug

Welcome to the UK's "zombie city" — overrun by people addicted to a psychoactive drug with wild side effects.

The street drug, known as Black Mamba, is an artificial version of cannabis, and has some horrific side effects — such as turning people into real-life zombies.

It has also been the cause of 258 deaths in the UK so far.

And now the city of Wolverhampton has become overrun with people hooked on the dangerous narcotic.

Speaking to The Sun, a local resident who works at a high street beauty store chain said: “There's been a recent spate of shops having front windows being smashed, desperate people breaking in to steal cash or goods to sell on.

“The authorities check out these incidents but little if anything is being done to prevent it or reprimand the culprits.

“It's a very unpleasant situation and feels quite worrying and intimidating. I don't know what's being done to stop it, but I suspect nothing.

“It's males, females, young, old, obvious drug addicts and homeless continually asking for money, begging right outside our shop in the middle of the high street, and they don’t take no for an answer.”

Although she admits to seeing Police Community Support Officers attempting to move the drug addicts on, she claims that it is “not very effective”.

Her views were backed up by another local shop worker called Simon Lloyd.

He called the situation “hideous,” adding that “too many people are struggling”.

He said: “The city's full of crime, stabbings shootings, drugs. Some shop windows have been smashed in, I'm convinced it's all connected.”

According to data website Crime Rate, Wolverhampton is officially the most dangerous city in the west Midlands.

It has a regional crime rate around 30% higher than the rest of the area, and one 54% higher than the entire country.

They add that, in 2022, 128 crimes were committed per 1,000 people, which has risen dramatically from just 66 crimes per 1,000 people in 2016.

In total 31,470 crimes took place in 2022.

Of those, just 645 were drug related, despite the prevalent issues with the Black Mamba drug.
