Trevor also worked in the film industry as a production assistant before he worked his way up to film producer.
The pair got married in Jamaica on September 10, 2011, and they celebrated with a huge party that lasted four days.
Meghan and Trevor decided to part ways in August 2013 because they couldn’t handle the long-distance relationship so early in their marriage.
Trevor was living in LA while Meghan was filming Suits in Toronto.
A source told Women’s Day magazine: “Meghan landed her role in Suits just a few months before they married.
"And despite being together for six years before getting hitched, things started to fall apart not long after the wedding.
"They really battled with long distances.
"Trevor was based in LA while Meghan was in Toronto, a five-hour flight away. It was a very difficult way to start married life."

In early 2014, Meghan Markle was reported to be in a relationship with Canadian chef Cory Vitiello.
They were together for two years and there were several rumours about them getting engaged.
According to the DailyMail, the couple moved into a townhouse under the name Meghan Engelson.
They lived close to a park where they would walk their dogs Guy and Bogart together.
The couple split in May 2016, two months before she met Prince Harry.
