Who is Simon Dorante-Day? Australian who claims to be King Charles and Camilla’s son | The Sun

SIMON Dorante-Day has made headlines worldwide, after claiming he is King Charles and Camilla's son.

And now he wants to take his story to Netflix. But who is he and how long has he been claiming to be a member of the royals? Here's everything you need to know.

Who is Simon Dorante-Day?

Simon Dorante-Day is the man who oddly claims he is the son of King Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles.

The Aussie, who was born in the UK but now resides in Queensland, has alleged he was conceived in 1965 when he says the couple were first romantically linked.

He has even filed papers to the High Court in a bid to force the King and Queen Consort to take a DNA test and has stated that he will use legal aid in order for his claims to be taken seriously.

The father of nine believes the couple conceived him when Charles was just 17, and Camilla 18 and he was later adopted by a family who had links to the Royal Family.

The engineer claims his adoptive grandparents Winifred and Ernest worked as a cook and gardener for the Queen and Prince Philip and told him "many times" that he was Charles and Camilla's child.

Simon – who says his middle name is Charles as part of adoption conditions – was born in Gosport, Hampshire, in April.

He has also previously claimed the Royal Family have spent "years" hiding from the "truth."

Not surprisingly, nor the King or Camilla have responded to his claims.

How long has he claimed to be Prince Charles and Camilla's son for?

Simon first made the outlandish claims in around 2016.

Since going public with his bonkers theory, he has shared numerous side-by-side images comparing himself and his son to the Royals.

The images feature Simon with Charles, Camilla, The Queen and Prince Philip.

Speaking to 7NEWS.com.au, Simon said: "All the royal fans and supporters who send them to me, they’re amazing.

"And I really think it’s like an Agatha Christie novel for them, where they’re looking for clues and searching for answers.

"There are so many people invested in my story now and helping me, it’s really amazing."

He even claimed that Princess Diana knew of his existence and was preparing to reveal what Simon allege she knew before her tragic death in 1997.

"We believe that Diana knew of my existence and that she had put the pieces together," Simon told New Idea in 2019.

"I think Diana was at a point where she was finding out answers about her life, how she was wronged, and she was going to go public with it.”

In October 2022, 7News.com.au reported that Simon is now planning to approach Netflix in a bid to have his story heard globally.

He has also claimed that he has been approached by a number of leading documentary makers from the US and UK in the weeks following Queen Elizabeth II’s death.

Speaking to 7News.com.au, Simon said: “I’ve been inundated in recent weeks with many documentary filmmakers and filmmaking companies keen to share my story.

“I didn’t expect this to happen – but I’m glad it is. I’m considering their offers.

“Ultimately, I would like to see my story on Netflix, or a similar streaming platform, and will approach them about doing so. I am already speaking on one person, who I trust, and is happy to act on my behalf.

“I’m taking my case through the proper legal channels, but I know that sharing my story and getting as many people aware of my claims as possible is going to be key to having Charles and Camilla address my claims.
