AS the nation prepares to say goodbye to the Queen, a number of protocols will be acknowledged throughout the day.
Strict timings will allow the day to flow from one formality to another as the world says goodbye to Her Majesty.
Why will the Royal Navy start to haul the Queen's coffin at 10:44am?
The Queen's coffin will be transported to Westminster Abbey at 10:44am on Monday.
It will be carried on the State Gun Carriage of the Royal Navy as her father King George VI was.
The day will work to precise timings in order for the Queen's state funeral to begin at 11am.
It will start with the coffin leaving from Westminster Hall to Westminster Palace shortly after 10:30am.

The King and senior members of the royal family will follow behind the procession which will leave at 10:44am to arrive at Westminster Abbey at 10:52am.
A number of formal traditions with precise timings will be acknowledged throughout the day.
Why will Last Post sound at 11:55am?
The Last Post will be played during the Queen's funeral at 11:55am so that a two-minute silence can be observed immediately after.
Both the attendees at Westminster Abbey and viewers watching the funeral from home can join in the silence.
The Last Post is one of the most well-known melodies in the world and is usually played on a trumpet.
It is played at Commonwealth Military Funerals as well as on Remembrance Day in the Commonwealth and Anzac Day in New Zealand and Australia.

Why will the procession stop at 3:53pm?
The Procession will halt at the bottom of the West Steps of St George's Chapel in Horseshoe Cloister where the bearer party will lift the coffin from the hearse and carry it up the West Steps.
This will allow the committal service to begin as the coffin procession enters the chapel, towards the catafalque in the Quire.
The service will be conducted by the Dean of Windsor. Prayers will be said by the Rector of Sandringham, the Minister of Crathie Kirk and the Chaplain of Windsor Great Park.
At the conclusion of the service, the King and members of the Royal Family will depart from the Galilee Porch for Windsor Castle.

A private burial service, attended by the King and members of the Royal Family, will be conducted by the Dean of Windsor.
