A WOMAN has been charged with attempted murder after two 10-year-old boys were found stabbed in a home.
Ann Marie McEvoy, 39, of Church Walk, Colchester, was remanded to appear in court on Friday, said police.
Police rushed to a property in Lincolnshire on Tuesday afternoon after reports of a concern for safety.
Specially-trained officers were locked in a nine-hour stand-off at the property with armed police also on the scene.
They eventually managed to force entry at 1am, where they then tasered the suspect.
The two boys were rushed to hospital with stab wounds but are not believed to have suffered life-threatening injuries, police said.

Ms McEvoy was also charged with one count of attempted grievous bodily harm on an emergency worker and with threatening a person with a knife, according to Lincolnshire Police.
A force spokesperson said a mandatory referral had been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: "The 39-year-old woman arrested in connection with an incident in Friskney has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, one count of attempted GBH on an emergency worker and threatening a person with a knife.
"Ann Marie McEvoy, of Church Walk, Colchester was charged and remanded in custody to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on 2 December.
