Woman's head is found in a cooler box after two decapitated bodies discovered in same town plagued by cartel war | The Sun

A WOMAN's head has chillingly been found in a cooler box in a town plagued by cartel wars.

The horror find comes after two decapitated corpses were also discovered in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico.

Locals stumbled across a Unicel cooler next to a public park in the early hours of Sunday morning before realising its gruesome contents.

They immediately notified authorities before cops confirmed it was a human head.

A threatening message – written on fluorescent cardboard and soaked with blood – was also found in the box, according to local news.

The cooler had been stashed on the street before it was discovered by residents behind a personnel transport unit.

Forensic experts secured the crime scene before the severed head and the box were taken to the Forensic Medical Service to be examined.

Investigators are said to have described the woman as around 25-years-old, of a dark complexion and with thick black wavy hair.

The victim is yet to be identified by officials.

However, the discovery of two beheaded bodies nearby has fuelled speculation that the head could belong to one of the victims.

The corpses were dumped in the Misiones de Creel neighbourhood in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Initial investigations deducted that they had been wrapped in blankets or cut into pieces before being dumped in two different spots – a traditional cartel trademark.

Cops believe the two horror discoveries could be connected.

The alarming find comes amid a surge of violence in the southeastern sector of the city.
