Amanda Seyfried in Armani at the Emmys: beautiful and perfect?

Amanda Seyfried won Lead Actress, Limited Series or Movie at the Emmys last night for portraying Elizabeth Holmes on The Dropout. Amanda has been saying in interviews that she wants to do another musical and that she wants to do Broadway. I am sure that will all happen for her. (I truly hope that Holmes gets at least a decade in federal prison, but I digress.) Amanda wore an incredible pink sequin Armani gown with a wispy mesh neckline. I love how the sequins continue up into the top and how geometric and thoughtful this is.

Here’s Amanda’s speech. She truly earned this Emmy as her performance was excellent. There’s definitely an Oscar in her future.
Supporting Actress in a Drama nominee Rhea Seehorn was in Georges Chakra. I love the print on this gown and the skirt is lovely, but the top is giving Disney villain.

Kaitlyn Dever was sleek and lovely in Naeem Khan. In her E! red carpet interview she told Laverne Cox that she liked the gown because it felt like a nightgown and was so comfortable. I loved the silhouette but thought the color was a little too bright. Kaitlyn was nominated for Supporting Actress, Limited Series or Movie, for Dopesick, which went to Jennifer Coolidge. Michael Keaton was the only winner for Dopesick.

Connie Britton was also nominated in Kaitlyn’s category, for The White Lotus. She was in Monique Lhullier and I have a similar minor complaint about this dress – the color seems off somehow. Connie told Loni Love on E! that she was happy to have her hair up as it was so hot last night.

Sandra Oh slayed in this deep purple sequin and chiffon pantsuit by Rodarte. This looks so comfortable and effortless, I love it. Sandra has four SAG awards and two Golden Globes but no Emmy yet! She’s been nominated 13 times!
