Blink-182 Postpone Latin America Tour Dates Due To Travis Barker Finger Injury

Blink-182 have postponed their Latin America tour dates after drummer Travis Barker injured his finger.

In an announcement regarding the postponement of what would have been the rock band’s first-ever Latin American tour, lead singer Tom DeLonge said, “I’m so sorry to everyone in South America that we couldn’t come down there. This has been something we’ve been aiming to do for so long and we work so hard and we just kind of had one of those freak accidents that nobody saw coming”.

“Travis needs to go in and have surgery on his finger and we have to get that well. We have to get that strong before we can do anything else. This is just so sad,” DeLonge added.

Blink 182’s much-awaited reunion tour was scheduled to begin this month.

The world tour, featuring the original lineup of Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker, and Tom DeLonge, will instead kick off in St. Paul on May 4.

The canceled Mexico and South America dates, which were originally set for March-April, will be rescheduled to 2024.

Barker had revealed on Instagram that he will be undergoing surgery after damaging his hand in rehearsal. He also shared some photos of his injured finger.

Barker underwent surgery last Wednesday and is recovering.
