Brad Pitt attended the Formula One United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of The Americas in Austin on Saturday.

The 58-year-old performer appeared to be enjoying his time at the racing event, during which he posed for several photos, one of which was taken in front of Mick Schumacher’s team’s garage.

The actor also spent time with Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski, who was present at the race.

The news about the project was revealed by Deadline this past January, with the outlet confirming that the two were attached to the forthcoming feature.

The movie, which is currently untitled, will be centered on an aging driver, who will be played by the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star.

The character comes out of retirement in order to compete alongside a first-time racer in a competition that will pit them against several of racing’s greats.

Ehren Kruger, who penned Top Gun: Maverick’s screenplay, also wrote the film’s script.

The latter of the two spoke about the project, which he referred to as Formula One, during an interview with The Wrap, where he expressed that he and Pitt were planning on working on their project at actual racing events.

‘The approach for Formula One is to shoot at the real races…It’s going to be a huge challenge but an exciting one,’ he said.
