Danielle Bux and her ex-husband Gary Lineker proved that they're still the best of friends, as they were spotted holidaying together in Ibiza.
The former couple have remained on good terms since they divorced in 2016, after seven years together. Father of four Gary, 62, later candidly admitted that the reason behind the split was that he didn't want any more children.
He clearly gets on with 44 year old Danielle's two children, Ella, 20 – to whom Gary was once stepdad – and five year old Romy, who Danielle shares with her now-husband, American lawyer Nate Greenwald.
The Welsh actress and model looked stunning in a burgundy swimsuit as she and Gary hung out on some docks near the water, along with her youngest daughter and another woman.
Later, the exes looked very comfortable as they reclined on sun loungers and chatted animatedly, as they displayed that they are clearly still at ease in each other's company.
Gary has previously opened up on his strong relationship with Danielle since their split, as he described her as "my best mate".
In a 2019 interview, Gary said: "We still speak three times a day, we text all the time. When she comes to London she stays with me, and when I go to LA I see her."
He's also shed light on the reason behind their split, as Danielle wanted to have children, but he had no desire to become a father again.
While appearing on Gabby Logan’s The Mid-Point podcast, Gary explained that their divorce was "purely down to children" and they had not planned to have any, but Danielle's biological clock ha started ticking, and they made an amicable decision to split so that Danielle would not miss out on the opportunity to become a mother for the second time.
Gary already shares four sons – George, Harry, Tobias, and Angus – with his ex-wife Michelle Cockayne, whom he married in 1986, before they divorced 20 years later.
After Danielle and Gary split in 2016, she went on to marry Nate, who Gary is now good friends with.
The English sports broadcaster, who is currently single, has been supportive of Danielle moving on, saying: “In the end, we decided to stay mates and see if she can find someone that really does want another child.
"That happened, and he is a really good friend of mine now."
Gary still remains a father figure to Danielle’s oldest daughter and was recently pictured spending quality time with his stepdaughter Ella, 20, on a trip to Wimbledon.
