EastEnders Jessie Wallace very much still engaged after shes spotted without ring

Jessie Wallace was recently spotted out and about without her engagement ring, although she is "very much" still engaged according to her friends.

Earlier this year, the EastEnders star, 51, became engaged to carpenter boyfriend Justin Gallwey, after at least a year together, and she recently shared a loved-up snap on her Instagram, which she captioned: "my handsome fiancé".

Just days after news of her engagement broke, Jessie stepped out wearing a rather noticeable gold wedding band.

However, she has since been spotted running some errands near her home in north London, having seemingly opted to leave the bling at home.

Despite this, the engagement is said to still be on, with a close friend of Jessie's telling the Mirror: "Jessie simply popped out without her ring on, as she often does if she's working as she obviously can't wear it whilst filming, it's nothing more than that, they're very much together."

Jessie, who plays Kat Slater on the long-running BBC soap, left fans confused last summer after hinting that she and Justin may have already tied the knot, when she referred to him as "my hubby" in a sweet Instagram snap.

The sweet photo saw Jessie snuggled up to Justin as the pair lovingly embraced each other, although eagle-eyed fans noted that neither were wearing wedding rings.

Prior to this, Justin had hinted at his plans to propose after he commented on a photo of Jessie and her friend Jaime Winstone modelling matching costume jewellery on the set of a special flashback episode of EastEnders.

Jessie's beau wrote: "See I told you you would have a ring on that finger by the end of the year."

According to reports, the happy couple have known each other since they were teenagers, and over the last few months have enjoyed a number of romantic dates, including lavish restaurants and European excursions.

Jessie was previously engaged to catering boss Vincent Morse, who popped the question after just three months of dating, with the couple set to say "I Do" in a £300,000 star-studded ceremony, before Jessie called off the nuptials.
