The actor also wore a pair of pale blue jeans – another Axel staple – while his left arm was secured in a sling ahead of his first scenes.

Murphy reportedly filmed his scene alongside Taylour Paige, whose previous credits include the late Chadwick Boseman’s final movie, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.

The Golden Globe Award winner previously played Foley, a street-smart police officer from Detroit who moves to Los Angeles to solve the murder of his friend, in Beverly Hills Cop, its 1987 sequel and the 1994 release Beverly Hills Cop III.
