Flo Rida’s 6-Year-Old Son In ICU After Falling From Fifth Floor New Jersey Apartment Window

Flo Rida’s son is being treated in the ICU after sustaining serious injuries from a life-threatening fall.

We’re sad to report that the Right Round rapper’s baby momma Alexis Adams filed a civil lawsuit Monday after their 6-year-old son, Zohar Dillard, fell from a fifth story apartment window in New Jersey earlier this month. According to court documents obtained by multiple outlets, the tragedy occurred on March 4, and left the child, who was born with a rare neurological disorder, with fractures to his pelvis and left foot, a grade three liver laceration, collapsed lungs, and internal bleeding. He currently remains in a local hospital’s intensive care unit after receiving treatment for three weeks.

Adams claimed in her legal filings that the Jersey City apartment building’s windows were installed with “incorrect sized guards,” which “posed a hazardous condition,” allowing her son to fall “to the concrete pavement below.” In her suit, the mother of one named the building’s owners and managers, as well as a construction and window installation company as defendants.

Adams, who is no longer with Flo Rida, wrote in a statement to News12 New Jersey Thursday:

“As a single mom to a special needs child, this feels like a nightmare. My heart is broken into a million pieces. I am devastated, angry and struggling to come to terms with the fact that my only child has suffered severe injuries due to willful negligence of our landlord and others involved In failing to take necessary safety measures.”

Steven Haddad, Adams’ lawyer, told TMZ early Thursday morning Zohar fell from at least 50  feet, and is currently in a full body-cast and can barely move. It’s unclear when he will be able to return home, but he will have to learn how to walk again when the time comes. Doctors say it’s a miracle he’s even alive, but that Alexis has been by his side the entire time.

As of now, Flo Rida, whose real name is Tramar Lacel Dillard, has not commented publicly on the incident.

DailyMail.com reported back in 2018 that the Grammy-nominated artist has no involvement in Zohar’s life, with Adams alleging he denied paternity until a DNA test revealed a 99.9 percent match. The single mother claimed at the time:

“Flo Rida has only seen his son once during the paternity test but kept his shades on and his back turned. They were in the same room. He didn’t try to hug Zohar, nothing. It was very cold.”

As mentioned, the child suffers hydrocephalus, a rare neurological disorder, which is caused by “an abnormal buildup of cerebrospinal fluid in the ventricles (cavities) deep within the brain. This excess fluid causes the ventricles to widen, putting harmful pressure on the brain’s tissues,” according to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke.

Poor baby. We hope he continues to fight and regain his strength, and eventually make a full recovery. Our hearts are with his parents during this incredibly difficult time.
