I’m A Celeb’s Charlene slams Matt Hancock as feud rumours swirl in first look at reunion
I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Coming Out Show has plenty more Matt Hancock feuding in store for fans.
This time its broadcaster Charlene White, 42, who takes a tinly-veiled swipe at the controversial politician, 44. In the teaser clip, Charlene can be seen ringing her dad after becoming the first to be eliminated from camp, where she points out a bit of a paradox.
"It turns out I'm less popular than Matt Hancock, dad, who knew?!" she jokes.
During their jungle stint together, the part-time Loose Women presenter confronted Matt over his infamous behaviour throughout the UK lockdown, suggesting that his apologies don't "really cut it" when families were going through some serious trauma while he swanned off with girlfriend Gina Colangelo, 43.
Despite seemingly silencing those Boy George, 61, clash rumours at the hotel foyer, Matt has still received quite a few backhanded comments from his jungle peers since the show wrapped up.
Rugby legend Mike Tindall, 44, awkwardly swerved him in a behind-the-scenes Instagram tour, while A Place in the Sun's Scarlette Douglas, 35, did everything she could to play down Matt's popularity within the camp when she appeared on Good Morning Britain.
She told hosts Richard Madeley, 66, and Susanna Reid, 51: "For me, when Matt came in I said, 'You know, there are a lot of things you've done that people aren't happy with and you have to understand that emotions are going to be running high in camp and you have to get why that is'.
"'So in the jungle, we will get on but it doesn't meant that outside we're gonna be best mates at all. But in here we'll just work together as a team and that's all we can do. That's the most important thing.'"
Really put on the spot by Richard, Scarlette was then asked: "Did you like him?"
"I like his get up and go," she smoothly replied. "I like the fact that he has drive. I like that he's determined. I like that he won't give up on anything. Those attributes I like in general.
"Do I like Matt Hancock specifically? I don't think I had enough time to really get to know him because when he came in he was trying to win us all over.
"He was doing his best to make sure he's involved in everything but for me it was just I want to make sure as a camp we all get on."
