Inside Mike and Zara Tindall’s £30m fortune – from cheeky adverts to big budget brand deals

It’s no great secret that royals such asZara Tindalland her husbandMike, earn more in a year than many of us can dream of.

From brand endorsements to TV appearances, the couple are thought to have a combined worth of £30million in total, largely in part thanks to their savvy partnership deals with many big name brands.

Among the famous names that the pair have collaborated with over the years include Land Rover and Rolex, with Zara even recently having signed a deal with luxury outdoor brand Musto that experts believe is worth around £500,000 alone.

Here, we take a closer look at the impressive portfolio of money-spinners that continue to add £’s to the couple’s vast fortune.

Zara’s Musto Deal

A keen lover of all things outdoors, it’s no surprise that Zara, 41, was snapped up by Musto to promote their clothing line.

With an endorsement thought to be worth £500,000 in total, Zara is even featured on the brand’s website as an ambassador for the company, with a quote from the royal reading: "I started riding horses at a very young age and my mother was into sailing, which is how I became familiar with Musto as a sailing brand.”

Originally designed as a sailing brand, Musto went on to develop a specific equestrian and country range to critical acclaim – with Zara speaking highly of the products herself.

As well as being functional garments, the clothes also offer a very flattering and feminine fit for women, which allows wearers to look and feel good even while working.

Mike’s Cannabis Oil Deal

Promoting CBD oil isn’t what you’d initially think of when choosing a royal brand endorsement, but it’s a lucrative deal that has brought in around £50,000 for Mike since he signed with company Pureis CBD in 2019.

Proudly sharing the news of his involvement with the company back in 2019, Mike even offered a discount code to his followers on social media if they purchased the product.

It is thought that the rugby ace was paid £50,000 for the endorsement upfront, with further possible commissions earned from sales based on his promotion.

Zara and Land Rover

While Zara is no stranger to working with legacy brands, one of her most enduring endorsements to date has been with Land Rover, who she first partnered with 17 years ago in 2006.

Not only does the brand have a good relationship with Zara, it was also hugely popular with the late Queen Elizabeth, who was thought to own no fewer than 30 of the iconic vehicles in total.

In a testament to her commitment to the brand, Zara became the first person to be given the keys to a Range Rover Evoque in 2011 and has even presented a women's scholarship for training in engineering, sponsored by the firm, every year.

In addition, they are also a key sponsor of her equestrian career. In total, it is believed Zara could be earning around £200,000 a year thanks to the partnership.

Mike’s Rugby Career

A professional rugby player for 17 years, Mike officially retired from the sport in 2014 after making 75 appearances for England, including at the 2003 World Cup alongside Johnny Wilkinson.

Although Mike’s actual salary as part of the winning 2003 world cup side is still a mystery, his teammate Johnny earned an estimated £1.7million the following year in a combination of endorsement details.

Even despite his retirement, Mike remains heavily involved in the sport, and has even worked as a coach at his former rugby club Gloucester, where is thought to earn an impressive £100,000-£200,000 a year according to Now to Love.

These days, a Sky Sports estimate puts anyone who has made more than 50 international appearances, earns roughly around £325,306

Zara and Rolex

Another of Zara’s longstanding deals is as an ambassador for luxury watch maker Rolex, which is thought to be worth in the region of £100,000.

As well as earning a tidy sum from her endorsement, Zara will also receive all of the watches she has been spotted wearing while out and about with her family, or competing at equestrian events.

Speaking about the partnership Rolex said: “Zara became a Rolex Testimonee prior to winning individual gold at the World Equestrian Games in 2006 in Aachen. Her career highlights include team silver at the 2012 London Olympics and at the World Equestrian Games in Caen in 2014.

“She is proud to be part of Rolex's longstanding support for equestrianism that spans more than 60 years and shares with the Swiss watchmaking brand a quest for perpetual excellence through precision and superior performance.”

Mike’s Domino’s Deal

It’s not every day you see a royal in a pizza advert, but Mike Tindall did just that when he starred in an advertising campaign for Domino’s pizza alongside teammate James Haskell in October 2022.

Thought to be worth an impressive £300,000, the tongue in cheek commercial played on Mike’s position within the royal family as he landed in a helicopter to deliver a stack of piping hot pizzas to his close pal James – before cheekily telling his former team-mate he has “friends in high places.”

Zara’s Magic Millions Deal

With horses being such a keen passion for Zara, it is perhaps no surprise that she was announced as the first Magic Millions Racing Women Ambassador back in 2012.

Travelling to Queensland every year for the Gold Coast Yearling sale, seven days of auctions end in a major race meeting where all contenders are horses who were previously bought at the event.

The partnership is thought to be worth around £125,000 in total.

Mike’s Amazon Adventure

Another lucrative advert for Mike, was in partnership with Amazon Prime TV, which saw him amusingly join forces with former teammate James Haskell for part of a tongue in cheek delivery skit.

In the ad, James can be seen trying to get Mike’s help with a delivery, to which the Rugby star soon quips: “Hask, I can't talk mate, I'm trying to get some England v New Zealand tickets and even I can't get my hands on them!”

A customer is then surprised when a delivery turns up at his door and Mike jumps out of a box!

Although Mike’s role in the advert is smaller than previous ones, he is still thought to have bagged himself an easy £150,000 for the performance.

Mike’s I’m a Celebrity appearance

When Mike appeared in last year’s edition of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here, there was a great deal of speculation among fans about what the royal’s fee would be to appear.

He said: "I am sure Mike will have been paid in excess of £150,000 to appear, but the true value of the show is what you do after it. Whether he gets a prime role as a sports pundit or panelist or host of a show who knows but for 'brand Tindall' this is a great step and will increase his celebrity equity tenfold,” revealed branding expert Nike Ede back in October 2022.

Although no exact fee has been confirmed, producers certainly got their money’s worth, with Mike one of the most popular contestants to take part that series.

Zara’s jewels

In 2018, Zara added another brand to her extensive portfolio when she collaborated with luxury jewellery brand Calleija, to produce her very own collection.

The equestrian inspired pieces are timeless collectables, but don’t come without a hefty price tag.

One of the most popular pieces in the collection, a saddle ring she designed for the brand, costs around £7000 in total.

Thanks to her work with the band, she is thought to have earned around £80,000 in total.

Mike’s public speaking

Alongside a wealth of other commitments and being a dedicated family man, Mike is also an avid public speaker and even runs a company, Kimble Trading Ltd, to help oversee this type of business.

Keen to share his knowledge and experience with the world, Mike is thought to earn an impressive £100,000 a year from his speaking engagements.
