Irina Shayk was the picture of elegance on Sunday evening as she attended the L’immensità premiere in Venice during the city’s 79th annual Film Festival.

The Russian supermodel, 36, opted for a gothic glamour look while sporting a satin black slip dress with a backless design, followed by a sprawling train.

While Penélope Cruz, who plays a leading role in the film, opted for a pink and black Chanel number for the red carpet appearance – with Stella Maxwell closely following in a gorgeous halter neck gown.

Irina paired her gorgeous look with open-toed heels to match the gown, adding a chunky gold metal bangle as her only jewellery.

The beauty had her chocolate hued locks completely slickly pulled back into a tight bun, highlighting her radiant complexion.

The dress, which is part of Chanel’s FW22 Couture range, featured a slit down the centre back, alongside a long-sleeved design, high neck and shoulder pad feature.

Attracting the biggest stars, the film festival is held annually on the island of the Lido in the Venice Lagoon. With movie screenings taking place in the historic Palazzo del Cinema on the Lungomare Marconi.

This year’s line up will see divisive biopic Blonde, starring Ana De Armas as tragic screen icon Marilyn Monroe, battle it out for the competition’s top accolade.

Brendan Fraser’s moving drama The Whale, where he plays an obese professor, will also compete alongside films starring Cate Blanchett, Hugh Jackman and Colin Farrell.

Risqué: Italian influencer Gaia Nicolini was also in attendance as she opted for a daring lace number in a mesh material, going braless underneath


Lace: The number featured a bardot neckline and long-sleeve design, as a pair of hot pants sat underneath to conceal her body

Glam: Gaia’s hair was styled straight, as she added a glamorous palette of makeup to the look


Arrivals: As the film festival gets into full swing, American actor Chris Pine arrived to the Italian city earlier in the day for the A-list event
