Jenna Ortega is spotted on set of forthcoming Beetlejuice sequel film

Beetlejuice 2 EXCLUSIVE: Wednesday star Jenna Ortega transforms into daughter of Winona Ryder’s character Lydia Deetz as she films hotly-anticipated sequel in Vermont

Jenna Ortega transformed into the daughter of Winona Ryder’s iconic Beetlejuice character Lydia Deetz on Tuesday as she filmed the hotly-anticipated sequel in East Corinth, Vermont.

The 20-year-old actress was seen wearing a distressed, striped sweater dress and black knee-high boots as she cycled down the street.

The Wednesday star had a serious expression on her face as she rode her bike down Main Street in the same original town with the instantly recognizable red bridge from the 1988 Tim Burton cult classic.

Last week, the Scream alum filmed a wedding scene with her on-screen mother as Ryder finally reprised her role of Lydia Deetz about 36 years after the original.

A release date for the long-awaited sequel was confirmed in May; Beetlejuice 2 is expected to premiere sometime in 2024.

As the sequel film seemingly is set in the fall, she wore a sweater dress with red, navy blue, and lavender stripes.

The garment featured distressing across the torso to reveal a black camisole that she wore underneath and she also jazzed up the look with a metal waist belt.

Underneath her edgy lace-up boots, she bundled up with knit socks.

While filming the scene, Ortega wore her dark brunette, collarbone-length hair in a half-up, half-down style.

She sported a minimal makeup look for a fresh-faced appearance.

A red roof was build atop the bridge to resemble the one in the first movie. ‘Welcome to Winter River’ signs were also placed next to the bridge to greet people coming into town.

The quaint town was also spotted aptly decorated for Halloween.

A coffee shop facade was dressed on the front of the building where the Maitland’s Hardware store was located in the original film.

It is not yet known if the rest of the cast — including Ryder, Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Jeffrey Jones, and Catherine O’Hara — will be back for the Burton-helmed sequel.

According to the synopsis, Beetlejuice — written by Michael McDowell and Warren Skaaren — followed the story of a married couple who recently died in a car accident.

The story begins with the now-ghosts — Barbara (Davis) and Adam Maitland (Baldwin) — who are stuck haunting their former place of residence.

In a desperate attempt to keep their home from being taken over and remodeled by new inhabitants, they call upon the titular bio-exorcist (Keaton) to scare the present family away.

The mischievous Beetlejuice then ensues to wreck havoc on Charles (Jones) and Delia Deetz (O’Hara) as well as their daughter Lydia (Ryder) — who is the only one able to see the ghosts.
