‘I love my beautiful and natural body’: Jessie J shares topless snap 11 days after giving birth to help new mums ‘celebrate’ their postpartum figures

Jessie J shared a candid photograph of her postpartum figure in a bid to help new mothers feel comfortable with their changing physiques.

The singer, 35, spoke candidly about her journey of self love and acceptance one month after welcoming her son Sky with boyfriend Chanan Safir Colman.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday she shared a black and white topless picture taken 11 days after giving birth as she urged mothers to ‘Ignore the whispers of what some people say you should or shouldn’t look like after a certain time’.

She penned: ‘I’m writing this for myself as well as any one else that needs to read this.  Your body was a home for someone else to live in for 9 months.

‘Your organs have moved and need to find their way back to where they were before. Your uterus is still deflating slowly. Your hormones are flying and crashing. Your body is working the hardest it has ever worked. You are exhausted but you are magical.’

She continued: ‘You grew a whole human. A human who is doing this with you and loves you beyond measure. Take your time. Be easy on yourself, your body AND your mind.

‘Remember you are in recovery and don’t forget to also remind those around you. Celebrate your new body. It HAD to change. It will be bigger and smaller in different places.

‘IT IS BEAUTIFUL and NATURAL. Ignore the whispers of what some people say you should or shouldn’t look like after a certain time. It’s 2023. People need to chill.

‘It’s your journey. Your time and YOUR body. It’s not the same as anyone else’s, and that’s what makes it special. You are unique.

‘This was my body 11 days after giving birth and I still look pretty much the same now 35 days on. I LOVE my body. It has given me the most magical roommate inside and outside of my body.

‘And when it’s ready and able to change again it will. Whatever that looks like. I’m here for it. You are doing amazing Mamma. You the MVP.’

Jessie has been doing her bit to support other new mothers, recently hitting out at trolls for shaming her for having a caesarean.

The hitmaker, 35, previously revealed that despite preparing for a natural birth doctors advised a C-section as her baby was ‘the wrong way round’.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Jessie hit out at haters and said she was ready to ’embrace’ her brand new figure.

Writing: ‘I don’t think I realised the impact my post would have on so many women who have felt ashamed or guilt from having a c-section’.

‘Planned or emergency. If no one has told you I will. It is by no means the easy way out. It is a birth’.

She went on to say: ‘Politely f**k anyone who makes you feel anything different. You had a BELLY BIRTH’.

‘Whether it was a choice or not you did or had to go what was right for your baby and for you to be healthy and arrive safely. NOTHING ELSE MATTERS’.

Before adding: ‘Hugging you all. We did it. We DID IT!!!’

‘And… THANK YOU for the love and support you have shown me throughout this whole process. I will only focus on that. Having a child has shifted my perspective and energy completely’.

‘I actively choose to only focus on the people who get it and support me. Everything else is background noise’.

She continued: ‘I embrace my new life, my new body, my new world with no apologies. I will be on the beach with my body on show, I’ve missed too many moments in life caring about what people will say or think’.

Before writing: ‘I will be parenting my way and owning it. I love it here. Not missing out on any joy because of some opinionated hater. Block button is now a love language to myself if your vibes feel off *YAWN*’.
