Jim Moir, 64, and Bob Mortimer, 63, became one of the nation’s favourite comedy duos after rising to fame in the 1990s. Since then, Vic and Bob have worked on a number of TV programmes including Shooting Stars and Bang Bang It’s Reeves.
Despite often being dubbed the modern-day Morecambe and Wise, Jim has now revealed that the pair don’t speak much away from work.
Jim told Radio Times: “We never really speak much. Bob and I have never been ones for talking on the phone.
“We’ll see him now and then and have a chat about things. It’s not a conscious thing, we haven’t discussed it.”
Jim also added that he doesn’t think he has mentioned his new Sky Arts show, Painting Birds with Jim and Nancy Moir, “at all” to his co-star.
He continued: “People have always thought that [our lives our entwined].
“Do you go out in the evening? We always said no, we don’t. We see each other in the daytime, we film.
“We used to when we were in our 20s, go out to the boozer, but we don’t really do that anymore.”
Jim’s new show with his wife Nancy, 48, will see them travel across the UK to watch and paint birds.
