Lila Grace Moss Hack is confidently carving her own path in the fashion industry, taking inspiration from her renowned supermodel mother, Kate Moss. Attending the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Preview Party, Lila recreated one of her mother’s most iconic looks donning a 90s style slip dress.
The black dress featured a V-neck, low, draped back and delicate spaghetti straps, and she complemented the look with a pair of open-toe heels. Lila, 20, who has collaborated with renowned brands like Versace, Coperni, and Marc Jacobs, let her flowing blonde hair cascade in a sleek, straight style and embraced a minimalistic makeup look.
Notably, she proudly displayed her insulin pump, highlighting her position as an advocate for individuals living with Type 1 diabetes. Lila's unwavering confidence in showcasing her insulin pump at various fashion events and shows serves as a powerful statement and inspiration to others.
Lila paid homage with her choice of outfit to her mother's iconic fashion moment from 1993. At the Elite Model Agency Look of the Year party held at the London Hilton, a 19-year-old Kate made headlines with her daring choice of a sheer slip dress. Kate's influence and love for the slip dress endured throughout the years, and now it appears that Lila is following in her footsteps, taking the reins and embracing this timeless style.
Lila's presence at this event follows her recent appearance on the runway for Versace's fashion show in Cannes. She mesmerized onlookers as she walked in a lilac mini dress from the 'La Vacanza' collection. The 'Cady' dress she wore featured a sparkling crystal mesh band adorned with the iconic buckle detailing and Medusa emblem, paying homage to Versace's striking SS95 designs.
Kate shares daughter Lila with her ex-boyfriend and editor Jefferson Hack, whom she dated in the early 2000s. Lila is now signed to her mum’s modelling agency, Kate Moss Agency, and landed her first Vogue cover at just 19 years old. Lila spoke out about her younger years and how she began to process that her mother was a famous supermodel at age eight.
Lila told British Vogue: "That was when I realised the paparazzi thing, that they were interested in her, for some reason.
"Then I went to secondary school, and everyone was like, 'Oh, your mum's Kate Moss!' You don't really have a filter when you're that young, and I was like, 'How do you know who she is? She's old! She's old and boring!’”
Kate also previously reflected on her experience watching her daughter on the catwalk, describing in a video for British Vogue: "I was really nervous for her. I was sitting around the kitchen table … Some girlfriends [were there] and we were waiting for the show to start on the link. When she came out we were like, 'She's doing it! She's doing it!' Yeah, I was really proud."
