Lorraine Kelly snubs King Charles with Princess Anne tweet

Princess Anne: Charles won't change as King

Television Presenter Lorraine Kelly, 63, has confessed her preference for Princess Anne over her brother King Charles, according to her latest post on social media.

The daytime host took to Twitter to share an article written by The Times, that was headlined: “Sorry, Charles, but the answer to everything is Princess Anne.”

Lorraine then tweeted: “Love this,” while echoing the sentiment in the headline.

The satirical article itself lists a long line of royal pub quiz questions created by the publication, to which every answer is Princess Anne. One reads: “Who sits somewhere between Kate being marvellous (and “dazzling”) for just wearing a dress and Meghan being an evil b**** and the new Stalin simply for adopting a different hairstyle?”

Another quiz question was: “Which royal would be most likely to run over Paddington in their Range Rover and not look back?”

The article came in response to Princess Anne’s interview with a Canadian television broadcaster. The interview covered many subjects ahead of the Coronation, with Princess Anne discussing her brother.

She said: “You know what you’re getting, because he’s been practising for a bit, and I don’t think he will change. He is committed to his own level of service. That will remain true.”

The interviewer also asked Princess Anne about the role of the mhat the royal family should be “slimmed down”.

To which she responded: “Well, I think the ‘slimmed-down’ (monarchy) was said in a day when there were a few more people around to make that seem like a justifiable comment.”

When it was put to her that the world changes, Anne said: “It changes a bit. I mean, it doesn’t sound like a good idea from where I’m standing, I have to say. I’m not quite sure what else, you know, we can do.”

As well as reporters at The Times speaking with admiration about Princess Anne, Brexiteer Nigel Farage was also quick off the mark to laud her.

During a televised interview with Sky Australia on Wednesday night (May 03) , Farage admitted that he was “big fan” of Princess Anne and dubbed her royal sense of duty “amazing”.

“She pretty much is the hardest working royal,” he added

“She loves going about her duties, engagements and has got her own huge passions.”
