Love Island fans left fuming minutes into cringy show due to extra long intro

Love Islander Ruchee introduces herself

Love Island has returned to ITV with a fresh batch of single contestants hoping to find romance, and hopefully bag a pot of cash while they’re at it.

While fans have already claimed they’re “obsessed” with Maya Jama and her stunning entrance outfit — not everyone is impressed with the summer staple so far.

Viewers have been quick to jump on social media and call out ITV for including long introductions, and padding out the show with over-the-top music moments.

One disgruntled fan wrote: “We would’ve had at least two couples by now, this new intro is dragging.”

Another commented: “I actually have to come back when all the intros are done because if not I will never make it into the series. So cringy the whole thing.”

A third simply stated: “The intros are big icks.”

However, it doesn’t seem like these ‘long intros’ are new edition to the 2023 series, as one observant Twitter user wrote: “I forgot they do these extra long intros.”
