Love Island’s Tyrique shares meaning behind ear tattoo as fans left distracted

Love Island star Tyrique Hyde opened up about the tattoo positioned behind his left ear.

The 23-year-old semi-professional footballer entered the villa on Monday (June 5) in search of love as the new series kicked off with a bang.

During his VT, Tyrique turned his head and showcased his lightening bolt inking behind his ear which symbolises "strength".

He added: "It's behind my left ear because in my right one I can't hear. I was born deaf. I have no hearing in my right ear so don't speak to me, speak to the bolt."

But after Tyrique arrived in the villa alongside his fellow islanders, fans headed straight to social media with the same complaint.
