Love Island: Paramedics rush to villa to treat star
Love Island filming comes to a halt as paramedics rush to Mallorca villa to treat star on the first night
Filming for the new series of Love Island had to be stopped just hours after the ten stars entered the villa.
One of the islanders became ill on the first night of shooting in the Mallorca villa, with paramedics called to in to provide treatment.
The Sun report that estate agent Catherine Agbaje, 22, was seen by paramedics after having a ‘funny turn’ during filming for the first episode on Saturday.
A source said: ‘Catherine started to feel ill during filming and she was seen by the villa’s medical team.
‘Her welfare was the priority and filming with the other islanders and Maya was stopped until she was feeling better.

‘It seemed the heat, nerves and not eating enough was the cause of her turn and she returned to filming not long after.
A source told MailOnline: ‘Catherine was seen instantly by one of the 24 hour medics which resulted in a short pause in filming. Once the medic was happy with her temperature she was fine to continue with the rest of filming.’
The first episode of the ITV2 dating show aired last night and saw Catherine paired up with Andre Furtado.
But as fans watched the new arrivals enter the villa and couple up, there was something in particular that was grating on them.
The Islanders quizzed each other on their ‘type’, as boys and girls entered the villa at the same time for the first time ever.
But as they got into the swing of conversation, viewers at home were begging them to stop using a certain phrase.
Fans confessed they couldn’t stand the phrase ‘tall, dark and handsome’, which was being batted around during the first episode of the show.
One person said: ‘Let’s officially retire “tall, dark handsome” as the type.’

A second person added: ‘”Tall. Dark. Handsome’ It’s enough.’
The phrase is commonly used on the show, as contests use it as a go-to to describe their ideal type of partner.
During the first winter series of the show contestant Paige Turley used the phrase to describe the sort of partner she was attracted to.
However she was mocked by viewers, who were aware that her ex-boyfriend was Lewis Capaldi – who would not fit that description.
Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2.
