Love Islands Olivia and Maxwell in fresh split speculation as he jets off to Mexico

Love Island stars Olivia Hawkins and Maxwell Samuda have sparked fresh split speculation amid Maxwell’s solo trip to Mexico.

In the days that have followed since their dramatic villa exit, fans began questioning last week if the pair are still romantically involved after Maxwell was spotted with her Love Island rival Zara Lackenby-Brown, whom she butted heads with several times.

Olivia, 27, was later spotted attending a red carpet event without her 23 year old beau – where the ring girl and actress was compared to reality TV royalty Kylie Jenner.

Now Maxwell has jetted off to Mexico without Olivia in tow and Love Island fans continue to fear that they’ve called things quits.

Taking to Instagram to share snaps of his trip, Maxwell posted a photo to his Story of the sea as he geotagged himself in Cancun. He also shared a photo of him enjoying a cocktail with one of his pals.

Things have since taken a turn for the worse, however, with Maxwell sharing with fans today, Wednesday 22 March, that he's fallen ill on the first proper day of his holiday.

As Maxwell jetted off to the sunny location, Olivia spent time with fellow former Islanders Arabella Chi and Joanna Chimonides at a Chris Brown concert at London’s O2 arena.

While Olivia and Maxwell are spending some time apart, the pair put on a united front at last weekend’s reunion where they shared their future plans.

“We’ve talked about our first date. We had a date in the villa but we’ve been discussing what we might like to do outside and when we can do it,” said Maxwell.

"We also want to meet each other's friends and families."

Elsewhere, Olivia has spoken of the couple’s plans to go on holiday together.

Speaking to The Sun, she shared: “We are planning a holiday together. Somewhere romantic would be nice. When we flew back from the villa, we stopped over in Amsterdam, and thought, it would be nice to have a little holiday together. Just the two of us."

Olivia and Maxwell came close to making it to the Love Island final, but were brutally dumped just days before – moments after the lovebirds made things exclusive.

The public had been asked to vote for the couple they thought were most compatible, with Olivia and Maxwell going on to receive the least votes.
