Love Islands Samie and Tom look cosy together amid reconciliation rumours

Love Island stars Samie Elishi and Tom Clare have sparked further reconciliation rumours after they were spotted looking cosy while leaving a film premiere in London.

The former couple, who shot to fame on the winter edition of the smash hit reality dating show, were fan favourites while in the villa and seemed to be one of the strongest couples of the season. They finished in third place but shocked fans when they broke up shortly after the show ended.

Since then, rumours of a rekindled romance have swirled, with new photos of the pair leaving the London premiere of the Jennifer Lawrence fronted film No Hard Feelings together on Monday (12 June), suggesting they may have resumed their relationship.

Samie, 22, was a vision of glamour in a teal cut-out dress, with her long dark hair swept back in a sleek high ponytail. Professional footballer Tom, 23, opted for a white shirt and smart black trousers. They beaus were spotted leaving and heading back to a London hotel together.

Shortly after a quick visit at the hotel, the ex-Islanders emerged and ventured to the exclusive bar and restaurant Amazonico in Mayfair, where they enjoyed some cocktails. After their romantic night, Samie and Tom left together in a waiting car.

This isn't the first time the one-time couple have been spotted enjoying one another's company. Last week, they were featured in a video shared by fellow winter Love Island contestant Claudia Fogarty on her Instagram stories. The footage showed the trio enjoying a meal alongside Tom's Macclesfield teammate, Leon Arnasalam.

Fans began to speculate the pair were back together after they were spotted side by side in Marbella at the end of May. Last week, Samie appeared to drop a major hint that the pair's romance was back on after she took to Instagram to post a picture of herself enjoying a cup of tea in a garden.

An eagle-eyed fan on TikTok noticed the garden Samie was sitting in looked strikingly similar to the one that has featured in snaps previously shared by Tom. The TikTok detective pointed out how similar the fence and wrought iron table were in the images shared by each.

The brunette beauty was also spotted with Tom at the Pride of Manchester Awards last month. They put on a cosy display with fellow Love Islanders Casey O'Gorman, 26, and Claudia, 27, who called things quits while they were still in the villa. The foursome were then spotted on a double date together.

Tom initially confirmed he and Samie had split up in April via his Instagram stories. At the time, he said: "I didn't think I'd be writing this but me and Samie have gone our separate ways…"

"We are still on good terms and I have nothing but love and respect for her. I'm gutted it's come to an end but I truly wish Samie the best." Their split came after Samie admitted that she went on Love Island to get exposure, rather than find love.

Samie opened up on their split in a tearful video posted to YouTube. In footage titled 'The video I never wanted to make', Samie said: "Let's just address the elephant in the room and everywhere – me and Tom have broken up. It's ended on good terms. No one's done anything bad to each other, there's still lots and lots of love there.

"It just wasn't working on the outside [of the Love Island villa] and we both agreed on the majority of the things – there's no bad blood there. Me and Tom, I've never said a bad word about him and he would never say a bad word about me. That is basically it, it's not an exciting story."

Elaborating, she said: "There's nothing more to it, we just weren't working outside the villa. I feel like when you come out, you've got so much pressure and so many other things to worry about and that plays a huge factor in a relationship and yeah, it was just a lot more difficult to maintain outside the villa and that was it, really."
