‘This is a very special feeling!’: Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan show off their swanky new dining room with modern chandelier and table for eight after finally moving into their ‘£3.5M’ Essex mansion

Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan have shown off their brand new dining room after finally moving into their lavish £3.5M Essex mansion.

The former TOWIE star and his actress wife, who wed in 2015, have been sharing snaps of their home building progress after purchasing the original property for £1.3million in October 2019. 

And their most recent post on their house build Instagram account left fans in awe as they showed off their spectacular new dining room and gushed: ‘This is a very special feeling!’.

The Instagram video showed the previous state of the room with wires handing from the ceiling, a fire secured bubble wrap and bare walls.

Mark clicked his fingers to the camera to reveal the walls perfectly panelled and the concrete floor now a light wood parquetry covered with a lush rug.

In the centre of a room was a long dark wooden dining table and above it hung a modern chandelier of glass and gold.

Sat neatly round it were eight modern velvet chairs which matched perfectly to the cream colour scheme.

The camera then panned across the room and showcased the couple’s taste in art with a modern abstract piece that was highlighted with it’s own picture light. 

On an opposite wall was a long dark sideboard, that matched the dining table perfectly, with two stylish lamps on top. 

The couple captioned the post: ‘Dining room finished, besides a few final touches. We have never had a dining room so this is a very special feeling & we feel very grateful’.

While one wrote: ‘Beautiful, understated, elegant.. Love the colour scheme’.

Another added: ‘Stunning’ and a third said: ‘Love it! The art work is fabulous!’.

In October Mark confirmed that he Michelle had finally moved into their new Essex home, three years after purchasing the mega-pad.

And christening the new base, the pair ordered their first takeaway in the home on Saturday evening – tucking into a range of pizzas.

Taking to Instagram, the TV personality, documented the moment as he filmed the mouth-watering selection of food, writing to his 1.8M followers : ‘Someone said cheat day?’

Posting to his Stories as the food arrived from Slice Sourdough Pizza in Essex, the former TOWIE star filmed the delivery driver at the door.

Explaining: ‘Look at this, the first pizza delivered to the new house. Jimbo, Jamesy from Slice. Wait till you see these pizzas, let’s go.’

And getting ready to tuck into the impressive spread, Mark laid out the five pizzas on his marble countertop to show fans.

Mark and Michelle, who are estimated to have a net worth of £12million, have been documenting the construction process after purchasing the original property for £1.3million in October 2019.

Construction experts have estimated the demolition and rebuild of the home will cost around £3.5million.

Due to various lockdowns and Covid restrictions, construction has been stop-start after they demolished a farmhouse and began building a five-bedroom mansion complete with bar, gym, granny annexe and outdoor swimming pool.

The couple won planning approval for the colossal building project back in January 2020 – and it has been over two years while the couple waits to move in.

They have been sharing frequent updates on the development to their ‘Wrighty home’ Instagram page, which includes the swimming pool.

They have shared stunning before and after shots with their fans online which show the original farmhouse as it stands and the CGI plans of their home.

The traditional wood-beamed farmhouse will be transformed into a beautiful white home complete with pillars out front and vast windows, in a design some have likened to the white house.
